Rarely see someone who is perfectly suited to their job. You have endless patience, you are relaxed and use a friendly, even tone throughout - no matter what the dear doggo does. It hurt a bit but you stayed friends with him, just kept on following him around and talking quietly to him. What a lovely, gentle manner you have. You are a professional of the highest order!

Those ear canals must be impacted with hair and wax. You did so well, dog was a bit restless but no wonder that impaction must have been very uncomfortable

Very painful for this dog. No need to doe this so harshly. Pluck small slow hairs using powder. Pluck without pain. By getting outer hairs slowly and eventually getting the main hairs in the ear. The rest is outer hair.. this woman with her silly voice and oh it's ok..It's not. She just wants to get it done finished. The dog cried and was in pain . She continued regardless.

I realize the hair has to be removed. Just give him a few more breaks and he might sit longer without fighting you.

Why do people choose long haired dogs if they don't keep up with the grooming??? I have always had short haired breeds. They are LOW MAINTEANCE!!!

I agree! I do believe this was the previous groomers laziness that contributed to this amount of hair in her ears. Opals momma gets her groomed every 4-6 weeks. She’s a great dog mom! We have a lot of lazy groomers in the area that don’t do the “little” things that matter.

Is that something her owner could do for her during regular grooming at home? Makes me pleased that I have a short haired dog who's coat doesn't require grooming appointments. Many friends do have cockapoos etc. They are great at keeping their dogs groomed, appointments every 8wks or so for some. Comfort comes first! Costly, but our dog has tons of allergies so instead of paying grooming charges....we have massive Vet bills! But if all of us couldn't afford to take care of our pets, I'm sure we wouldn't have got them 🐕 ♥️

The ear hair hadn’t been removed by any previous groomers. I wouldn’t take on that task at home. When pups are groomed regularly and the work put in is done correctly their ear hair will never get this bad. In 8 weeks she barely had any growing back.

This was the first time I groomed this dog, so I’m not 100% sure, but I would assume so. Most groomers around here don’t do all the little extra things it takes to have a complete groom, in my opinion of course. Thank you!

In the beginning all I saw was a cute little black nose , a big pink tongue 👅 , and two button eyes! There’s a whole dog under all that fluff!! What a good cutie baby.

Is a light sedation an option for pups who find this a stressful/painful process or is that something that only a vet could do? It would surely make the process a lot easier and less distressing for both parties. Opal did really well for a pup clearly didn’t enjoy the process & has never had her ears plucked/cleaned before.

I wouldn’t think so, sedation is stressful to anyone, human or otherwise. I’ve been grooming off and on for 15 years, and I’ve never had much of an issue plucking the ear hair. Some pups don’t mind it at all, but they’re probably used to it. Opal had obviously never had this done so she was a little antsy about it. She’s much better about it now, but likely because there isn’t much to pluck out anymore lol! Bless her heart!!

Actually she comes every 6 weeks, and with a regular grooming schedule she’s doing quite well! The previous groomer didn’t pluck the ear hair, and this must be done to allow more air flow to help prevent things like infection and such.

Negri. Non ho mai visto togliere il.pelo dalle orecchie di un cane con tanta crudelta, forza, nel filmato che ho visto. Arrivare a tal punto mi chiedo se il proprietario si è svegliato adesso. Un cane preso in quel modo rimane traumatizzato. Non ha tolto un po' di pelo ma ha tolto un materasso a due piazze. Non sono riuscita a vederlo tutto, terribile il sistema il modo brutale del medico.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
