Used to swim in it? When? Hopefully 20 years ago and stopped 10 years ago. Those tracks get slippery when trying to get out ! Be careful. Don't ask me how I know this.

Why are you putting all the silt and cat tails right back in the drainage? It’s all going to wash right back in?

The root structure that they have they aren't going to flow back down and the drainage doesn't flow much water. She fills the pond with her well. The cat tails are going to come back anyhow, poison is about the only way to get rid of them.
