"Hi, I'm dangerous and not to be messed with. With introductions out of the way, would you like some fresh penguins?"

You listen here, kids. In my day we had respect for the pwn and we knew that it was to be wielded only for the good. With great pwn comes great responsibility. And also l33tness.

Why can't you pretend to at least eat a penguin? That leopard seals probably stressed out to high heaven thinking this idiot won't even eat when I bring him a DEAD penguin!

we're like pandas to them. Or stubborn horses. Humans: you can bring them dead penguins but you can't make them eat.

And she was chasing away the competition who was trying to court him instead, with another penguin! Perhaps he was overlooking the fact that the females choose their mates over fresh penguin!

The seal probably was thinking like us humans.. when we meet an animal we are interested in.. a squirrel or something.. and we are holding something we are eating, pizza, popcorn or whatever.. we offer them our food over and over.

Paul Nicklen is nothing short of today's nature God. His love and dedication to preserving and giving a voice to animals and fighting climate change by risking his life and giving up his dream of being a dad is just prominent in his expressions, words, and works. Thank you for all that you do and for the millions of people you inspire. Please also come to India and help us stop the government from setting hydropower plants in bioreserves which are home to thousands of beautiful animals and insects.

I saw a leopard seal at Cape Palliser at the very edge of their northern range lazing on the beach. It was a massive size didn't want to get too close and that was on land. It'd be hell of fright seeing them in the water. They've got some serious teeth.

Paul Nicklen is the man for entering that water and getting that footage. If it was me, I think on that 4th day I would have had to show my appreciation by somehow trying to take a bite of the Penguin. As a youth I studied wildlife as much or more than anything, and I recall reading about these Leopard Seals in Antarctica.

That's pretty amazing this animal doesn't even know him, didn't give birth to him, and immediately tries to feed him over the course of 4 days. That's probably the nicest thing an animal can do.Not only did she bring him food, but she killed it for him to make sure he can catch and eat it.

Love to hear about your u/w adventures - this Leopard seals is not exception. Your interactions had to be quite an adrenaline rush. As an x-scuba instructor, I can so relate with your interaction with the u/w wildlife, that most people have no idea what they are missing. I had a chuckle about when you were still a student and the smell in your dorm - I can visualize this setting clearly. That was/is one of my cherish smell. I also could picture well, when you were in rough sea - as I sailed back from Antigua to Fort Lauderdale, with a cat 4 hurricane trying to catch up with us and sleeping with one foot on the wall, in order to stay on the mattress on a 30 ft sailboat. However, I do not get sick on boats, I get dizzy when I get off the boats. I truly enjoy hearing of your adventures. If there's a place where I can listen or read more of those precious moments and you get to see this, please don't hesitate to let me know. Sylvia Grummitt

@DmacDomage2 жыл бұрын
@@Nebula_Ultra thanks. I had a look into this and you are indeed right. Up to 50% larger! I wonder if her larger mass is in part due to having to store more fat for birthing young and feeding pups, or if it's due to social behaviour, eg. Defending a larger area for protection of offspring. I'm going to do a deep dive on this. All puns intended 😁

That seal wanted to get boned. Look to the animals my friends. Women will also offer to you to come to them dont be so quick to pursue. As an example a woman at a gym will get next to you so you will talk, if that doesn't work she will dance by herself and smile to herself so you will see shes cool. If that doesnt work she will remove her shirt to show the "goods" or sports bra. Come'on bro go talk to her.

News that matter I have had the exact thing happen to me. I love walking into a party or room with an attractive female and once I know she see’s me, I’ll ignore her purposely and not acknowledge her and slowly she will do things that I believe are to get my attention or look at her. It’s fascinating haha.
