Again, this build is so amazing. I love your builds with interesting angles! I really think this makes it way more interesting! What kind of foam do you use? I am trying to find the correct kind. Is the color difference in your videos for different types of foam?
@Nat1videos2 жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you! I use XPS foam... yes the colour difference means the foam has a slightly different density, but it's not massively important. If you are struggling to find XPS foam near you, instead search for Underfloor insulation foam. Thats what it is, and it is often not listed as XPS. Hope that helps ;)

Such an amazing build. 👏♥️🍻 One question is : which spray adhesive did you use? I know anything spray has a 50-50 shot at melting foam. (I'll watch the other tutorials you suggested before I ask anything else lol)
@Nat1videos2 жыл бұрын
Hey Daniel, the spray I use is called 3M Spray Mount. So I don't spray it on to the foam, I spray it on to the card then you leave it for about 20 seconds or so to tack up before putting the card on to the foam. By that point the accelerant in the spray has evaporated so you won't melt the foam. The stuff in spray cans that melts foam is literally the accelerant to make it come out of the can and not the functional part of the glue if that makes sense. But yeah, I wouldn't spray this directly on foam ;)
@DanielRaffetyJr2 жыл бұрын
@@Nat1videos That makes perfect sense, almost all propellants seem hungry for foam. Good advice letting it evaporate before applying. 👍 Now to check out the electronics tutorials, love the magnet on/off. I can see someone using that for a game board, player moves their mini over a tile and it lights up signaling a trap or effect. 👍 Very cool!!

Question: I’m pretty new to this, and have a Proxxon. I want to make my own jigs/templates. Does regular cardboard actually work? Is it cereal box chip board, package box cardboard, something else? Does it stand up to the hot wire? Are they single-use or reusable?
@Nat1videos2 жыл бұрын
hey, yes it works! I use cereal box cardboard. And you can use the templates again if you only use a light spray of adhesive to hold it in place on the foam. I have some templates that I have used several times. But at the end of the day, its cardboard so if you only get one use out of it then it's no big deal. Just make sure to spray your adhesive on to the card board not directly on to the foam, then let it sit for 30 seconds before sticking it to the foam. This way the accelerant in the spray adhesive will evaporate and you won't melt your foam ;)
