I have a virgo moon with aquarius ascendant, with this aspect. I feel like this describes the main reason I have avoided getting close with people since as young as I can remember. It's too painful to have so much inside of me that I wish others could know or understand, yet i never allow because I'm afraid of being rejected, misunderstood, disagreed with or embarrassed. So, I carefully analyze what is safe to reveal to others, most often just keeping it to myself unless the other person shows signs of thinking similarly. That way I can hopefully avoid judgement. Even my own husband of 16 years doesn't get full access. The result for me is a feeling that nobody sees me. The real me, that I really want to show. It gets lonely in this head of mine. I feel like a robot with feelings that's programmed to always say what others want to hear.

I have scorpio moon and aquarius ascendant and you are bang on💯This is my experience too. I wonder if it has something to do with the aqua archetype. Aquarius energy is typically interpreted as cold,aloof and detached so having it as our ascendant doesn’t help paired with our moons. Maybe if we had fire or air moons we’d be more naturally aligned🤔

@@ILoveAllPeople. Hey Amira, Sorry! I didn't realize you sent me a message. Things have progressed. From a short-term perspective, I wouldn't describe it as positive. Long-term, I'm a bit more optimistic. Over the past year, I've grown more settled with the idea that I am going to lose my family. They are incredible people, and I love them more than anything. However, I've realized we are going to lose each other whether I end up suiciding or I proceed with my own life. As you seem to have guessed, you and I share some life hurdles, lol. I don't know if I'll ever go through the medical treatments, but I've decided that I'm not going to let my relationships determine my life story...I hope this next part won't sound weird. I shed a few tears watching😓This definitely hit me in a vulnerable spot.I have my scorpio moon strongly squaring my aquarius ascendant and although it isn’t inconjunct aspect this strongly resonated and hit me deeply. Being an aqua ascendant i can come off detached yet my scorpio moon craves connection and intimacy. I’ve always had a deep fear of revealing my true feelings and the few times i have attempted to open up i’ve been shut down, blamed,mocked or gaslit so i’ve kept them close to my chest and never really revealed them. Or like you said i act and behave in ways that are counter to how how i feel inside. And then at the end of the day i still feel empty,unseen and lonely. The feeling of disconnect has been prominent for a while now and like you said it’s been an unconscious pattern that has resided in me for some time. Not red flag enough like a square so it’s just been creeping around and subtly controlling me and now it’s finally come to my attention that there’s a problem and what feels like a big hole in heart! It’s going to be scary and challenging to start opening myself up and revealing my true emotions but i intuitively know that it’s the only solution. Have to learn to lead with the moon instead of ascendant. Bringing it out from the inside rather than relying on the outside to create the ideal conditions. Thank you🙏🏽

Thank you Jewel! I have a LOT of Water in my Chart, what's not in Water is in Earth. My only Fire is my Moon. I had trouble "connecting" with it, until I made a couple of friends who had their Sun in the same Sign as my Moon. It really helped me work out how to "run my Moon better". For anyone who has difficulty with the Aspect you're discussing, this might help them "find" what their Moon wants & needs. Just an idea, thanks again!

At 10:00 yessss I just realized this myself a while back. That no one owes me and I don’t owe other people. Learning about expectations and transactional relationships. Start by finding safer relationships, friendships, and creating awareness and intimacy within. Someone said selflessness really doesn’t exist, in the end you are really only doing it for yourself anyway so might as well actually be authentic about your feelings.

Aquarius moon and asc here, living ON my AC moon line. I have never felt so disconnected to the world around me and myself. For me I just try and be myself without thinking or worrying about what someone thinks..it even comes down to the smallest things like facial expressions or body language I guess when I'm feeling uncomfortable that I've changed just to try and "control" how someone views me..its kinda of challenge because often times I feel like I come off extremely cold and without feeling if I didn't think about my behavior and just be myself..but then again I'm sure it's all in my head considering the fact that I think I can control others view of me 😂😂...

@@jessicabarlow7412 I find Scorpio Moons fascinating. Although, with the inability to connect with people it absolutely rips me to shreds inside, emotionally. It breaks my heart. Again.....and again.... and... (pretty much every time, actually). I honestly feel like some Scorpio Moons view me as a threat because of my Scorpio ascendant combined with the fact that y'all hate it when you can't connect with anyone, and so that probably is very unsettling to you. Not to mention, they probably feel like I'm trying to peer into them, when you guys want to be the ones "looking in." Trust me when I say this that I absolutely hate not being able to show myself!!! It DESTROYS me inside!!!! It makes me sad and literally screws me up, puts me off balance (since it's opposite to Libra). I feel like I'm in a battle with literally no hope, and no one is coming to my "aid." It sucks. It's a shitty feeling. It's like I'm just waiting for my doom or demise to come annihilate me or something. My Dad is a Scorpio Moon. My Aries Moon doesn't know what to do except go cry like a baby and start destroying shit or being very loud and aggressive, since my Moon sits in the 5th house. And this isn't the type of anger that will bottle up inside like it can with Scorpio Moons probably, I'm a double fire Moon, so it HAS to have some form of ESCAPE. You can't stick dynamite inside of a microwave and not expect it to explode. That's how I feel when I'm by myself or my brothers for the most part, or strangers, but people I care about deeply, I'm so afraid to show this side of myself. Not to mention that I feel immature because I don't know how else to handle my emotions. Fire and Water are hard to control, in different but similar ways.

I think you kind of unintentionally answered your own question. I think you do it with support and comfort. They're used to taking logical approaches to life since they kind of have to have a "game plan" (so to speak) before they feel comfortable to do anything. Trust me, I would know since I have this aspect. So I would say approach them very softly with this bit of information or addressing this aspect except you'll have to do it in a way that allows them to open up at their own pace. I know that me being an Aries Moon INC Scorpio rising, my feelings are very tumultuous. Very intense, but there is also an element of innocence since Aries is sort of like the child of the zodiac. They don't like to stay in a negative mindset or emotional state for too long. Although, I will say that you have to be very careful and not try to "pry" anything out of them because people with this aspect find it very frustrating and are likely very troubled since they not only have trouble identifying what it is that they are feeling, but they also find it frustrating when they feel like they don't know how to even show this to others, it's like a double / triple whammy, since they also get very bottled up inside since others can't truly know who they are. So, there's a lot going on with them. People with this aspect are typically very logical and intelligent. This is because they've pretty much had to plan ahead when they know people will be present for their entire lives. You just have to be the most supportive and caring for them that you've ever been in your entire life, because this I think is the only way that will make them feel secure enough to even TRY to open up, let alone actually feeling like they're opening up. We honestly find it hard to even tell the difference. It's frustrating. The Moon automatically gets sent over to their big brother/sister Mercury or the "ascendant," because we really don't know how else to handle the Moon correctly, so we kind of "pawn" it off on our Mercury or ascendant, and use them instead. The problem with this is that we're so accustomed to doing this that we've probably never really implemented any strategies to effectively tackle or address how we feel by just focusing solely on the Moon, and not having to rely on any other mental / logical / analytical techniques (Mercury, even Mars sometimes, Jupiter, the ascendant). They're very logical so they won't have any problems explaining to you or trying to explain to you what's going on with the use of their words, but as far as them actually SHOWING YOU how they FEEL...... OH BOY..... brace yourself. You'll most likely have to arm yourself with information and become an expert on understanding this aspect as much as possible for yourself, so that you can help assist them from the outside looking in. Because, again, with the logic aspect... they will most likely 98% of the time get very logical on you, but again, that doesn't "solve" anything. Something I could see someone saying to help someone with this aspect is, "Look, I get this is very hard for you, but I feel like you're kind of using your words to try to explain how you feel, rather than just letting your emotions out and SHOWING ME." Now, with that being said, depending on who you're dealing with, this could be very frustrating and challenging, but at least you're logically breaking through with that communication to them that they're not really comfortable with opening up. Also, I just so happen to be an expert with astrology. I've studied it for over 10 years, so I feel like it would be easier to explain this to someone that is comfortable with astrology, but for someone that isn't, I could see this being twice as difficult for you/them.

Jewel, sometimes I wonder if the degree is more important than the signs. This resonates a lot with me, but my Capricorn Moon is 162 degrees away from my Gemini Ascendant. The signs are naturally inconjunct. Could it be that this is also true for me, but at a lesser degree (since it is not a tight inconjunction)? My Scorpio Sun also feels inconjunct my Gemini Ascendant, but it is 160 degrees away

Even Bill Burr has this placement and while he's so natural in his own skin, it still doesn't seem right with him. Just imagine someone that doesn't even have the confidence to put themselves out there. It's even worse. I hate having this placement. Especially being a Scorpio Rising. I get reactions from people all of the time that just........ doesn't make any sense.... I don't get it. I'm not trying to "do" anything to anyone. And it sucks that others don't get it either.
