Wow. Scary how accurate this is. My father was a very violent man. I have often described him as exactly as you said- militant. I haven't spoken to him in over a decade now because I have always been intimidated by him. He was the boogie man. He was the thing in the which I feared the most growing up. And because of that I have always had an issue with the opposite sex and having to be in control in a relationships and not ever being in that position of powerlessness. You are also spot-on about the autoimmune health issues and inflammation. I suffer from rosacea and psoriasis and terrible bouts of sciatica and back problems. When not in check with proper meditation and supplements, I suffer from high anxiety and stress. This always results in some kind of inflammation, to the point that it is sometimes crippling where it will affect my joints and mobilty.

This aspect dominates my life. I will spend months on end flip-flopping between the barbaric anger of Wotan and being so depressed I want to off myself. It's hard not to see these Saturnian figures as sadistic narcissists... and I loathe calling people narcissists because it is such an overused buzzword, but it fits my view of Saturn as the evil of all evils, a cruel oppressor, a nonchalant bigot, a prison guard straight from Hell.

This explains why I'm so put off by all the Capricorn men in my family(dad, older brother, brother in law, nephew). Constantly feeling guilt for being the youngest and never feeling good enough for them. I can relate to this comment a lot. My father also has Capricorn energy (Moon, Venus) and my NN is also in Capricorn (1st house or 2nd depending on which house system I use). I'm the eldest child in my family though, I built my life and identity around serving my family and being an overachiever until I had a major breakdown on my middle 20s. (I'm not out of this face yet, and it's been years.) I'm a Cancer sun. Also, ironically, my dad has a NN in Cancer and both of us have this aspect in our charts (same Saturn placement, different Mars signs). My mom has a Capricorn Ascendant too.

What sucks is that I have Aries Mars conjunct MC. Everytime I try to borrow the strength of my mars to propel myself in my professional life, the Cancer Saturn and Capricorn Chiron conjunct Sun has to butt in. I have seen someone talked about this, and yes, it's exactly like running out of a burning building, then having to climb a hill, just to have a burning piano land on top of you. Oh Jewel, After listening about the Mars placements in women and what they bring to them in their partner, thinking back on my life and failed relationships, it all clicked and made sense (I’ll admit, I chuckled quite a bit too!). Then after hearing the part about the guilt reference in regards to it all, i literally got so choked up and said “Yes!”, with the biggest sigh of relief with this confirmation. Yep, I have Mars in Pisces in the 6th house and Saturn in Sagittarius in the 3rd house. My husband can be extremely cruel, ruthless, cold, out of touch with the spiritual side of life. My Grandpa was also like that. I married my husband after just six months and had two sons. Now I feel stuck at home all the time and even restricted within my own house. My husband has much more freedom than I do. He has a passion for riding his bicycle. I often dream/fantasize of escaping to a beautiful place in nature where I can be truly free. I have Jupiter and Saturn one minute apart at 4 degrees of Libra and Mars at 4 degrees Cancer. It has definitely been a challenging aspect in my life, but one that I've worked hard to understand and work with over the last 7-8 years. I'm commenting because I was slightly amused when you mentioned the men in the women's life who has this aspect. My husband is a Virgo sun and a Gemini moon (birth time unknown) with a stellium in Libra. His chart is heavily air and is not good with emotions at all, so what you said about the Mars in Cancer part definitely resonated. Other parts did too.

Just a few examples of wonderful and admirable people who have a Mars Square Saturn aspect in their natal charts: Julie Andrews (from The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins--are you honestly saying that she has any intrinsic potential for cruelty?? Lack of masculinity in the men in my life...yes I see this. Came to take a look at this video cause transit Saturn (24 Capricorn as of end of Jan 2020) is squaring my natal Mars at 25 Aries, the ruler of my Scorpio Ascendant. The understanding of this aspect displayed in this video is truly helpful for me with dealing with this very hard transit that sometimes seems as if there are no possible solutions to it.

I want to add a couple of things that I am aware of regarding the square since I do possess it. My Saturn is in Scorpio conjunct the IC. That's hard enough to deal with. Then Pluto is also conjunct my IC and Saturn as well so they both end up Mars.... that my friend is a very scary situation. I have also noted that Mars Square Saturn can indicate a so-called History of Violence. Seeing how Saturn is literally history of the family and Mars represents alcohol and Saturn represents ingrained behaviors and habits. To be completely honest my experience with Saturn Square Mars and Pluto lead to alcoholism, feeling like a sexual slave since my Mars is in Capricorn in the 6th. I ended up feeling obligated to have sex just to quell the Saturn persons ability to make me feel guilty if I did not engage and sex. Because of my excessive and horrible alcoholism for 15 years, I am sober now thankfully, I got very violent with men who were close to me. Two ex-boyfriends, my father, my stepfather, my husband. As a result I was charged with domestic violence 4 times!!! without alcohol I am a severely law-abiding citizen who can be a stick-in-the-mud but when I get booze in me....man become a monster or demon. it definitely does not help that the Mars in Capricorn squares fixed star algol. I used to be a cutter and when I stopped that because I pretty much didn't have any other place to cut, I began to literally beat myself up. Physically speaking. Throwing myself into walls punching myself in the face, this all stemmed from serious guilt from my relationship with my father and own inability to connect with my children. I feel very disconnected from them, because I lost custody of them due to my drinking, violence and erratic Behavior. I know I sound like a psycho and that's not the point because I just want to share my experience with this aspect as I feel that it is been very extreme in my life to the point where are yes I have considered suicide many times. I don't have the guts to follow through with it. however with Saturn conjunct IC has a major effect on my appetite. Saturn has to do with wasting away so I figured the worst punishment could just be starving yourself. I am great at blocking out the grumbling sounds in my stomach and signs of hunger and I completely ignore them. I currently weigh 100 lbs and am 5'7.... I'm not even going to breach upon the topic of Mars Square Pluto compounding this craziness even further. I am 36 years of age and yes like many other people I feel like life is hopeless and pointless especially with the Saturn Pluto conjunct Transit plowing through my Mars Capricorn right now. So this misery accentuates this for sure Oh,for a little extra fun....my husband's Saturn squares my Mars!!! you can bet there have been some pretty volatile situations between us with me being the perpetrator. man I feel so stupid for putting myself out there like this but I really felt I had to share and I'm sorry for rambling. You have to let go of the feeling of helplessness. This is the core. The RAGE is an emotion that protects your vulnerability. Nobody feels truly safe when they are vulnerable. But your vulnerability had been exploited. So make peace with that. Forgive others and forgive yourself. You need to stand up for yourself in a healthy way. Never heard a better explanation of this aspect. Thank you very much for this. May I ask you what if Mars makes a sextile to Jupiter along with the square to Saturn? I've got Saturn in Cap (0,22°, 5th whole sign house, party pooper...), Mars in Aries (2,05°, 8th whole sign house) and Jupiter retrograde in Gem (2,00°, 10th whole sign house). P.S. Even if I was born at night (thus Saturn is the out-of-sect malefic), this Saturn Return I'm in is proving to be helpful with the "releasing" of this Mars of mine.
