Natalie.. Thank you for sharing your story! As someone living with the condition for many years, hearing your storiy is incredibly moving and empowering. It helps give me the confidence to find my own ways of embracing this condition. As we all know, that's an incredibly difficult thing to do, but as i continue in this journey over the last 20 years, i'm finding i can slowly be braver and not always have to cover my vitiligo, and i speak about it more. This support network and sharing stories helps put some better perspective in place for me. I still struggle with summer holidays, i miss the simple days of enjoying the beach and the sun... but I try not to dread summer (which I always loved) I'm finding ways to still do this. It's battling the sadness it can bring that is important. And being more honest, open and exposed does actually lessen the difficulties. I've had times when i just didnt want to be seen, but I've not shyed away. Knowing we are all feeling the same and having this support network is immeasurable. Thank you 🧡 And thank you vitilgo society for providing a support platform and the great regular updates to be able to link into my 'skin brothers and sisters community'

Thank you so much for your feedback and sharing your experience. Please do consider joining one of our free online support group meetings: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/vitsupport-virtual-support-group-tickets-815162411717 . Hosted by Natalie and other Vitiligo Society volunteers, these meetings are a lovely opportunity meet a few other people living with vitiligo and listen and share experiences. It's lovely to hear that the stories are resonating with you and giving you confidence. Acceptance of vitiligo is a long, hard journey - but not one you need to travel alone x

Hello my friend❤ You are darker in the skin than I am. So I am kind of lucky with that. But I never can tan really. So it has been difficult. But I found out just to use some self tanning cream is very usful. And focus on bettering myself on other areas. You can do this❤ I do not care about it anymore - because if I do it just makes me sad. I just live with no sun tanning and I use some cream. And that is how I just handle it. And I live very good with these decisions. If I was a darker skin - who it would be more visible - I would use more self tanning cream on the face neck area. Just done more of it. But I understand it is more work to cover if one wants to for darker colured skin types. But I think to focus on bettering health overall is a good choice. I also have hyperthyroidism - probably connected to the vitiligo. I think what caused or are casuing all this is very intr. I got a lot of viteligo first time I go pregnant. And had an abortion skyrocked it all over my body. Was it the pregnancy or medications given at the abortion!?!? I think if everyone with viteligo been asked about medical history - we would see a lot of parallells. Mabe go as long back to our grand grand parents. When and who got it and what did happen in theyr lifes. It is a drug given for melanoma who can give viteligo. I think that it is very intr. What sort of medications and or toxins who can give viteligo. I know it is autoimmune but - something triggers it. So what. Can be a lot of different reasons but some are common I would belive. How long can a drug for instans a grand grand parent took for cancer - be effecting geenerations after?
