Eat less inflammatory foods (sugars, carbs, processed foods, red meat), reduce stress. Be healthy in mind and body, including Yoga, acupuncture, walks, meditation, journal, etc. CoQ10 Folic Acid Omega 3 fatty acids (epa/dha) Vitamin D - 1000mg Vitamin C Vitamin E Prenatal vitamins cover a lot of the above. General doctors are terrible with supplements. I discussed with them the supplements I was interested in, and they shrugged them all off but said go for it if I wanted with no clear instructions. After a few months of introducing acupuncture, CoQ10 & Myo-inositol/D-chiro Inositol I have begun ovulating whereas I wasn't before. My progesterone levels drastically increased during the luteal phase and I had the egg white consistency. I highly suggest listening to Andrew Huberman Lab podcast episode 'How to optimize fertility in makes & females'. That's where I was introduced to these supplements & their research. Then I did weeks of my own reading and came to the conclusion CoQ10, Inositol & acupuncture were worth the investment. I already took a vegan fish oil supplement, which was also treated as unimportant by my docs.
@TheJackeeeo Жыл бұрын

I also did my own research and got coq10 and vegan Omega 3 after a lot of research. We did a retrieval and our embryo didn’t make it. The office called me for a follow up and said my egg quality was “fair/poor”. Now I know that they never could’ve tested them and they must came to that conclusion for some other reason. I have been thinking they tested them somehow. Thank you for the info!
@emilyb5557 Жыл бұрын
Hi, not sure if you will see this. I'm sorry your embryo didn't make it. Just to explain - they absolutely can't test the egg, but then they can see how it does after fertilization as an embryo. If embryo isn't a good one then they can know that the egg wasn't good - they could test for chromosomal abnormalities in embryo (it has multiple cells unlike egg so one can be taken). It is true that it is also possible it was a poor sperm but that is easier to see (they look funny often or don't swim well). The book it starts with the egg might be helpful to read. Wishing you luck in your journey ❤

I’m 42, generally healthy and just had my 3rd cycle of freezing. My 1st cycle I had 10 follicles and only 6 grew - unfortunately I caught a very bad version of covid and they retrieved 3 eggs. All 3 mature so 100% maturity. I was on ovaleap and meriofert, and ouvitrelle trigger. Stims for 9 days. The second cycle I had 13 follicles, I was on letrizole tablets for 5 days and Gonal-F and Menopur for stims for 10 days….and ouvitrelle for trigger, they retrieved 8 eggs and 7 mature so 87.5% maturity rate. My 3rd cycle, 12 follicles, again letrozole with gonal-f and menopur but this time stimulated me for 9 days because they claimed that one egg had reached 22mm even though the rest were around 12-14mm. They collected 8 eggs and only 2 mature so only 25% maturity rate. They said 1 was immature at retrieval, 1 was fully mature, and the other 6 were ‘border line’ mature of which 1 matured in the incubator. I am so so so upset. The clinic claims they can’t explain it because they followed the size patterns from previous cycle and actually my follicles were smaller in previous cycle BUT I just can’t help but wonder if they triggered me too soon and in the chase for the big egg, sacrificed the 7 slightly smaller ones in expectation they would catch up. The fact that they said 6 were ‘border line’ mature makes me think they rushed me. Please can you advise what your take is on this? It seems very out of sync considering my previous maturity rates. I went private for this and it seems £10k for a result that is potentially compromised is heart rendering 😢 The question is for the 6 that were border line mature, could an extra day of stims have generated a better result? Have you ever seen a case like this?

The egg isn't fully developed until it goes through the 3 month development process - which is why the COq10 for 3 months can make a big difference. So not having those chemicals present in blood whilst your eggs develop can still make a difference :-) I guess the only chemicals it might not apply to is the "forever" chemicals like Teflon because they stay in blood and ajd body much longer - but still why risk adding more?

I had to grab my phone and leave a comment to say ‘thank you’ I have watched a few videos & you give me hope. My youngest was born in 2012, so my chances are low but your telling me there’s a chance & that’s all I need to hear. If I could go back in time, I would have started sooner.

I’m 34 next week, my youngest was born in 2011! (No baby since) About to start this journey as well. Best of luck to you ❤ my mom had me at 42 and despite all the warnings and scares, I was a healthy happy baby 😊

If my mom and grandmothers went into menopause late, does that mean genetically, there is a higher chance I have a larger ovarian reserve? I will be 39 in February, never had a child, but have wondered if I ever will be a mom. I am not trying, more curious.

I have been reading about the chances of a healthy embryo within 6 months after an abortion. Is the egg better quality after an abortion? why would that be? Thank you! I've just gone thru a painful abortion and I am hopeful for a successful pregnancy at 38.

I am not an expert or doctor or anything, however a friend told me this happened to her friend. Basically she could not get pregnant for a very long time with her first partner and it was recommended she do a D&C. She did get successfully pregnant with her next partner after this procedure. (Coincidentally she broke up with the first partner because she was really unhelpful and uncaring during the procedure.) Apparently it can “clean out” scar tissue that is obstructing the uterus or tubes. One reason for infertility can be scar tissue due to std and other past infections, endometriosis ,etc.

Thank you for this highly accessible and informative video! Does egg quality decrease if harvested? I've heard "forcing" lots of follicles to produce many eggs makes for bad quality eggs, but I haven't found any evidence for this.

There's a clinic in the UK Create fertility - they say esp in older or lower reserve women that lower dose stim aka "mild IVF" can be better for egg quality.

I have a question about Coq10. In your video you talked about the dosage. Did you mean 200 mg total per day. Or 200 mg 3 times a day for a total of 600mg per day? Thanks so much! :)
