Most of the time I fall, but sometimes I can balance for a few seconds. What episode of your course would you recommend?
@NatalieReckert5 жыл бұрын
Hi, The trial and error is quite an important part in the process of learning a handstand. You can try the couch to handstand course and if that is too easy try the 7week vimeo course. That course really focuses on building and strong base for handstand training, every part of it will probably challenge you and also teach you something new.

@@NatalieReckert Could I just purchase episode 7 since I'm comfortable being away from the wall?
@NatalieReckert5 жыл бұрын
@@brandonx19 yes you can do that. Even though they build a bit on each other. You could try 6 and 7. I also do sales sometimes then it is cheaper :)

My balancing is not going perfect it falls in 2 3 sec again it does not remain stiff pls reply for solution
@NatalieReckert5 жыл бұрын
Hello Parag, what you describe is very normal when learning a handstand. In the beginning you can only stay up for some seconds and as you fight for more balance every day your seconds in a handstand improves. Also remember that balance is about being strong and soft not about being completely stiff.

Natalie! Thanks again! How many times/week should I train handstand? Do you incorporate mobility training in your week?
@NatalieReckert3 жыл бұрын
I think if you practice handstand 4 x a week for 45min-1hour that is a good amount. But have a focussed training session, short breaks. Than add mobility to that, as much as you need as well as some conditioning 2x 20 min a week. The key is to find a training routine that you can sustain for years!

I can only do a handstand against a wall and when I try without the wall I am not able to do it. So I wanted to ask what should I focus on first, the balancing or kicking up to a handstand without the wall?
@NatalieReckert4 жыл бұрын
I would say do endurance holds with the wall and also practice the kick up with the wall behind you but not touch it with your feet. This may help you: Kick ups kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZjGg2Bsra-pd9k

Natalie hi 👋 Have you heard of Sanchin Kata? It said it helps much to control weight balance. Some people say it's the core, the most important on balancing, 😉 feet/one foot stand balance.
@NatalieReckert5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jake, no I have not. I just looked it up :) it seems very interesting! In fact most forms of martial arts emphasise the importance of the core as the point where all movement originates from. It is a very wise insight. Thank you for this.
