I really like your no bullsh*t style!! You don’t make a video for the sake of gaining popularity!! They are good advice!! Love it!❤️

Great tips, Natalie! Way to keep it simple. The fingertip dig is helping with my tuck entry. And the belly-to-spine cue is working better for me than the ribs-in cue, which always seems to throw me off balance. The weird thing is that whenever I think about straightening my line, I almost always totter. I guess that's the curse of having limited shoulder mobility.

Yeah, when your shoulders aren't fully open you always have the compensation problems. Be patient and keep working on it! Thanks for your feedback and insights.

Hi Natalie, thank you for your videos, they helped me a lot. I'm now able to hold a straight handstand for 10-30 seconds. One thing i notice is that my neck is feeling stiff after doing the handstand. I don't now how to position the head in the right way. Do i have to look on the ground or straight at my backwall in the handstand. When i'm keeping my head tucked in, it is a lot harder to hold the handstand... Keep doing your videos! Wish you the best, Tim

Hi Tim, thank you for your feedback :) I would suggest to tuck your way in as much as possible while making sure you can still keep a spot on the floor in between your hands, if that makes sense? Also try to push your shoulders out slightly less, like 20% less.

Pulling the ribs in is really hard in a handstand. Even doing it against the wall is hard. Everything is so weird upside down. Do you have any clues for that?
@NatalieReckert4 жыл бұрын
Imagine the front of your stomach is one surface and then think of pulling the whole surface closer to the spine. It does not have to be a big effort, if 40% of your posture muscles engage, that is already a big step! You can also thin of pulling the ribs and hips bones closer together. Or think of "bracing for impact" as if preparing for a punch in the stomach.

Learning a handstand takes a long time. Don't give up. Have a look at my couch to handstand course or my 7 week Handstand course on Vimeo for more detailed instructions.

Natalie I am doing handstands every day on the wall but I am to scared to do a handstand off a wall because I feel like I will fall forward how can I be conformable doing it off the wall.And how do you find your balance point its so hard
@NatalieReckert4 жыл бұрын
Hello Maddie, thank you for following and for sharing your question. In my Vimeo library I have an indepth video about how to find balance and get away from the wall, it hopefully answers all your questions. Balance is an active process, your body needs to practice finding balance over and over again. vimeo.com/ondemand/handstandlibrary

If I'm still unable to catch more than few seconds does it mean I should go back to using the wall?
@NatalieReckert4 жыл бұрын
Try to increase the seconds you can hold against the wall. 30 seconds is a good amount of time. And practice your freestanding handstand alongside that too. The combination of both is useful.
