I've been natural last 15 years, and I love your simple process and minimalist approach to products. I've had it in locs for 6 years, chopped them off, dyed it red and had a taperes cut...the works! Right now, I swear by the Saru organics line in Nairobi- available at Good life pharmacy and super cosmetics. I have 4b hair mostly, which can turn 4c without proper care. Teaching my 13 year old to also care for her hair, particularly in quarantine - no salons the last two months and it's been great. We wash weekly, deep condition and leave in twists.

My hair thrives in coconut oil as well for prepoo it makes wash days so easy . Your hair is so healthy , if i had such length i would rock these braid outs everyday .
@spanishlalaby24544 жыл бұрын
The coconut oil is it the same one as the one for applying on your body or their is another different one for hair?
@7777beth4 жыл бұрын
@Spanish Lalaby for hair use extra virgin coconut oil. I use that and my hair loves it, the processed ones do literally nothing to my hair.

Even if I copy paste your hair routine, I will never have good hair like yours 😁 sometimes it’s just the hair genes we have. The most important thing is to take care of what you have.
@dayton9004 жыл бұрын
Claire Modo Valentine girl of course it wouldn’t look the same because no head of hair is the same. Finding what works for you is what will make or break your hair. I almost cut all my hair off a few months ago. But I found really good products and uses different techniques and found out that my hair does not like coconut oil! That was the problem and it was in half my products because everyone tells you that coconut oil is the holy grail for naturals. Moral of the story don’t listen to everyone else, listen to your hair lol

Your end results look great! I wash my hair 'guerilla style', meaning, free and untwisted because I like the feel of water running through my hair. While washing out the conditioner I finger detangle and put my hair in four plaits. When I'm out of the shower, I unbraid each plait one by one and add leave in and an oil, finger detangle a bit more then plait it back up. Any styling takes a place the day after. And I totally cosign all that you said about normalizing finger detangling! I'll record my routine this coming weekend, God willing 😊

hey nat, your hair is lovely. i buy locally available hair products from beauty stores. i use kentaste coconut oil for prepooing . for the deap conditioner, I use Zoe deep conditioning cholesterol treatment for leave i use radiant the blue one. i have shea butter as a sealant that i whipped with coconut oil . and something else that i also learned, for low porosity hair(products just sit on the hair or for an experiment, cut a clean strand of hair n place in a glass of water, if it floats then that's low porosity, if it sinks thats high porosity) use products that are protein based, but for high porosity, use products that are cholesterol based. personally i use miadi cholesterol treatment and my hair has really grown after learning the right kind of products that my hair requires.
@rachelngatia37534 жыл бұрын
Wow learnt something on the porosities will try it to know where mine lies since my hair is really soft it's 4C soft kinky thank you for this🙂
