I find it interesting that natasha manages to put out three on first glances similar concept palettes (lots of „brown“/neutral) in a row, but some how each one is intriguing in itself with a fine tuned theme and Pat McGrath on the other hand keeps circling in boring pinks. Pat seems to miss the plot on different enough pinks, pinks+ or special pat where natasha hit the mark on theme and details.

I love cool tones typically and INAN is my current jam...went to Sephora last Sunday and swatched INAW and NONE were BEB on me 😅🤷🏽♀️ I actually found a few shades in the Glam palette that are better BEB on me. Golden palette doesn't give me the BEB I like either. I ended up getting Laura Mercier Eyeshadow sticks in Cocoa and Strapless...layered in that order give me the BEB I love!

I think this colour story seems so clever and like a warm palette that will work for a lot of different people. Warm is always relative to what it’s next to, and I always struggle with warm shades almost going orange on me even though they aren’t orange. I have the I Need A Nude and for me it’s a great mix of cold and warm in relation to my skin. I think this might be only warm on me and not really as versatile, but I think it’s a great palette for lots of people.
@fluteteachermarcie62832 ай бұрын
I am warm., and I think I would like this as a neutral palette. “Neutrals” tend to look cool on me. For instance, Merit lipstick in Tiger looks orange in swatches, but reads red brown on me.

I’m sure these are lovely but I need an alter ego price point 😆 I think the INAN is warm for this cool tone 50+ gal and I prefer silver to gold or is all this just me justifying not buying things out of my price point 😆. I may try the alter ego bronze dupe but there’s only so many browns I need or want. I got the alter ego mystique and costal pallets cause I love my blues and pinks and I have some Laura Geller for my nudes and browns. I do own the retro and some 5 pans pallets from Da’nunu. Waiting for the very tiny eye brushes to go into the concept store from refer for my very limited eye estate.

Palettes feel like oppression to me. While I appreciate that many people need a warm kit...as a cool, fair person: we've never needed another warm palette. Even the cool palettes try to slide in at least 30% warm. We need more properly cool palettes. HELL. Not even palettes, bring back the singles. And not just a palette with no option of getting replacement singles so you are forced to buy 12 shades for that perfect grey-brown. I stopped getting palettes more than a decade ago. I distrust palettes. Years ago I just became an eyeliner girl, four colors, does it all, and I use them up. Palettes are functionally wasteful.

I think the way she describes it mostly works for people that don't have a huge contrast between hair and skin, both in terms of temperature and in terms of value. Most people in the world have black or black-brown hair, and I don't think an eyeshadow in that color would do for them what she's talking about.

Most ND palettes are beautiful but the shades are just too strong for me. I am too fair to pull off all those vivid oranges & reds & jewel tones she usually puts in her palettes & also not cool enough for her softer, desatuated palettes. I was thrilled when I Need A Nude, Golden & I Need A Warm were released. This palette, I Need A Warm would probably still pull too orange on me sadly. Golden & I Need A Nude would probably be better. I wish I could somehow combine those 2 palettes & have my perfect palette (I have done this with similar tones/shades from Sydney Grace ) I guess my problem with ND palettes is that out of 15 pans I would probably only use 4-5 & still need to pull from another palette. It's why I stopped buying palettes bigger than a 9 pan & was very, very analytical before doing so.I mostly have palettes made from singles I have curated myself. I mainly build my look with mattes & then add a light shimmer on the inner 3rd of my mobile lids (hooded eyes) I have no need of deeper shimmers that will instantly sink my eyes into my skull or show texture. Maybe one of NDs Five Pans would be better for me or a combo of 2 Five Pans? I am very curious about those creamy shades she includes since I generally use a dark shadow as liner & a creamier texture would make that easier & longer lasting. I kind of feel left out when it comes to ND 😢 people just hype her brand so much on YT.
