She's great in the role and I'm perfectly happy that she was cast as Black Widow, but I don't think she owns the role nearly as much as a lot of the other actors in the MCU own their roles, eg. Downey Jr as Stark, Evans as Cap, Hemsworth as Thor, Cumberbatch as Strange, Hiddleston as Loki, etc. etc. With respect to Johansson, I think a lot of actresses could've filled those boots.

Head canon: Cap didn't spend the rest of his time travelled life with Peggy. When he returned the soul stone he freed Natasha, went back to the 40s and they lived a long, happy life together until she passed. That's why he wouldn't tell Falcon who it was. This is the head canon that I will cling to because Black Widow deserved a happy ending :(
