Love this, pergamano was one of my 1st introductions into paper craft as a child 30 odd years ago. My mum had a pergamano kit that she allowed me and my sister to do 1 sheet of each and I loved it, I was so keen to do more. Now as an adult I have the tools, supplies and a new combined technique I think I'll make her a card in this design as it's her birthday in a fortnight.

I used to do Pergamano, Tarjeteria, whatever you want to call it, years ago. I think I got all of the inks, coloring and other supplies, and tools from a company in Puerto Rico. I got stylus with several different ball sizes and the tools for punching holes in the vellum too. The company had a whole book of beautiful patterns too. I did many of their card projects.

Thanks for showing another use for vellum! I only have seen it used as a covering for a card (like it is to protect the glitter, gloss or embellishments). You make the most common supplies look so easy and beautiful to use.

Years ago I did a technique called Parchment craft or velum craft, also known as Pergamano, is the art of embellishing and decorating parchment paper through the use of techniques such as embossing, perforating, stippling, cutting and coloring. This reminds me of that 😍 beautiful ❤️

Wow! I was so surprised to see how different colors effected the vellum. The yellow mat makes this such a happy card. You did a video before using the back of the vellum and a ball tool. That is NOT a criticism! I am mentioning it because I tried it, but used cheap vellum (which is not really vellum as the package claimed). It was paper that had been in my stash for years and years...the price tag was the kind that came out of the little press-on device! 🙄 The project results went into the bin. I wanted to reiterate that quality does count. Spend the little extra to get Lawnfawn vellum. You will be so much happier with the results! Thanks, Natasha💛

Beautiful Natasha! Love, love, love! Here in South America this technique (embossing = "repujado") is used quite often in card making. It is done using "papel pergamino" which is vellum. I however, have never seen it used with embossing powder, that just takes it to another level! Stunning! tfs ! Hugs💕

I really enjoyed seeing this Pergamano technique in a modern way, especially combined with the sunny yellow. Usually Pergamano gives quite classic or romantic effects/cards. Aah, you have introduced the art of PARCHING (not Pergamano which is a brand name). If one uses a small ball tool and exerts too much pressure there is the danger that the parchment can buckle or even tear especially if the foam below is too soft, so beginners would be advised to practice first before risking a good piece of stamping . A parcher would use a larger ball tool to start and with less pressure and repeat several times (and perhaps reduce the ball size in the process) to get true white. As you say, it is very effective and the end result can be beautiful as you have shown.
