Comedians like Nate are kind of magical to me. I mean, picture any of your friends or a relative, on stage saying, "If I went back in time -- knowing everything I know now -- I don't think I would make a difference." Nate gets a nice laugh from that, but it's not even a joke. It's almost a little sad. Yet somehow, it's hilarious when he says it. My favorite line is when they ask about the word "satellite" and Nate says: "Well... I shouldn't have even brought that up then..." I've listened to this routine a dozen times in the last few months and that line cracks me up every single time.

a lot of "sad" things turn funny when you can just accept them like "well, that happened". it's a coping mechanism and it's funny cause it's real. also, delivery is key. love nate

He's got a good point about time travel. Maybe these guys on Tiktok claming to be time travelers but get every prediction wrong are the real deal. How much do I know about what happened 300 years ago? Like maybe a few broad things, wars, maybe president. That's about it. I could be like, oh yeah, there's going to be a tea party in Boston in a few years. And they would go, "so what? There are tea parties every day... ".

Dear Nate, you probably won’t read this. I am a 50-year-old mother of one biological child and two stepchildren. I am a retired nurse. I am 50. I currently am undergoing some pretty bad medical issues. Because of these medical issues I fell and broke my wrist, and I am looking at a right hip replacement, when I was the most active person in the world walking a mile day on the beach where I live on the East Coast of North America in New Jersey in the town of Cape May. you have given me such joy and light and just the physical act of laughing.. People are always saying it would be go back and invent amazon or the iphone or something like that, but truth is Nate said it perfectly. You would be less likely to invent it if you went back in time before it was invented. You would have to figure out exactly how to make it, market it, get lucky, have the connections, etc. and most of us would do nothing besides try to bet on horses like Biff Tannen lol

Mark Twain's 'A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court' a guy goes back in time and institutes all of these early industrial age inventions into medieval culture. The telegraph, soap, a printing press, I believe even lighting. I'm reading it and thinking, " I couldn't do any of that."

Never heard of this guy. Funny stuff. The thing about the kid and Disney World, I don't know why people want to drag a baby around a place like that, they can't appreciate it. However, a 3-year-old is definitely old enough to appreciate it! They may not remember it when they get older, but the experience will become part of them.
