I went to Ball State when Nate was our QB and he was amazing. The coaches worked with him there and he excelled not only on the field but also in learning the playbook. When he left the whole football team turned to shit. That's how good of a QB and leader Nate was.

These comments calling Nate Davis the "next big QB" aged like milk.

We have Nate Davis 2.0 on our roster in SF now. The only difference is 13 years ago Nate Davis was drafted exactly where he should be for a raw, project QB... we gave up 3 first rounders for the 2.0 version because everyone is looking for the next Mahomes now. Waste of picks.

Fuck, I'm sick of seeing my 'Niners go down in flames because this organization has hitched its wagons to Alex "Bust" Smith. What's worse, they bring in another big bust in David Carr and demote this kid with all the potential in the world.

@@Rob0917idk but he wasn’t bad enough for the Niners to drop him. He was a late round guy with talent and they decided to go with Troy Smith (known NFL bust) and David Carr (big known NFL bust). Also Alex Smith threw for 2,370 yards, 14 TDs and 10 INTs, not like anyone set the world on fire. Sure in hindsight did he look better against back ups and third strings? Yes but it’s not like he was nothing worth keeping as a developmental guy. Also the offensive staff, as well as the staff themselves, was putrid. They had no idea what they were doing and could identify talent. Their incompetence costed them their jobs that season
@Rob0917

@@losangelescardinals True but I mean if nobody else felt like he was worth picking up and developing (at least a PS player), then maybe all he was good at was just backyard style football.

1st off, you don't need to cuss at me bro. Make your point then move on, it's just football. You're right, AFL games are boring, but I watched all 3 of his games. You didn't. You read a headline, then decided to come on here and express your hate. Nate avg'd 30 points each game in NFL = wins- AFL= that's halftime. His receivers were jokes, in one sequence they dropped 5 straight passes from him, all you need to know. 2 teams in Canada want to sign him, full football field is what he needs.

O.O holy shit. thats a fucking bomb right there. not saying this because of JUST this play, this is a legit question: why is he on the practice squad? i am not a niners fan and hardly heard of this guy. is he that bad?

And now the fool has a name. I knew someone was gonna chime in on this. How many KC games did you watch Uguess? My guess?? 00000000. The difference between me and you, is I'm staying objective about this. I wanted to see if he lost a step or two myself, after not playing for awhile. Answer my question first before I respond to you.

You realize I can see your channel right? And its plastered in Raiders wallpaper from top to bottom. But that's right, you don't glue yourself to one team. Caldwell got fired because he let Curtis Painter eat away a year, when he had a chance at Nate. NEVER GETS A CHANCE (but Jon Beck gets a chance in DC/ Painter in IND???) He was straight balling in AFL, but you wouldn't know....you're too busy watching TNA wrestling. No T n A for you, but grown men faking a sport in short shorts? I'm done here

What does being a Raiders fan has to do with anything? I'm a fan of football in general also & dont glue myself to following one team or person like you do with Nate Davis. & Terrelle Pryor is the best athlete in the NFL (pay attention to what I just said) so anywhere we put him Im not "scared" & Indys coach got fired for that? Really, no he got fired because the Colts had no backup plan and Peyton got hurt. And how can I watch him play WHEN HE IS NOT ON A TEAM! Your a clown defending this guy.
@luzleafcinema
@luzleafcinema 12 жыл бұрын
I know that you're a Raiders fan, so you don't know what a good QB actually looks like. Terrelle Pryor is your backup to Palmer, which should scare you. If he'd been given actual chance in NFL and failed, then I'd check Nate off as a bust. Two coaches got fired because they failed to get the QB in order, SF n Indy. You can't teach someone the things that Nate does on his own. This video is a play I've seen Nate do 3 times as a Niner. You're a joke, making statements without watching him play.

@SurvivalHorror me and a buddy of mine decided to up the AI on madden as far up as we could on the difficulty level (past all maddens AI) and start a franchise with the bills (cuz on madden they seem like the worst team, or at least one of the worst 3 teams. i picked him up, and in two years and after some careful draft picks, he lead me to a superbowl his second and third year. only won one, madden fukked me on the 2nd. but... eh, that sucks.. at least he made it as far as he did.

@xblindside7290 According to the coaches, Nate Davis doesn't know the whole playbook. He suffers from a learning disability, which might be the reason he doesn't know the whole playbook. Which is such a shame because I'd love to see him on the field. In my opinion, he's way better than Alex Smith and David Carr. Whenever I play as the Niners on Madden, the first thing I do is sub out Alex Smith and replace him with Nate Davis as my started, lol.

@luzleaf If Singeltary's assessment was inaccurate, he never would still be in the NFL. There's a reason he's been cut multiple times. Singletary didn't cut him from Seattle or Indy.

@errybody This is the next Jeremy Lin story waiting to happen (and it will.) The 49ers are going to hate themselves when they realize they allowed Singletary to ruin Nate's rep. Too bad Jed didn't pull an Al Davis and force his coach to play him (since Sing was being fired anyhow). Love listening to how stunned the crowd is, I was there too, the chills still with me. He's working his way back to NFL via AFL, KC Command.

He is a really good football player, he just doesn't have the work ethic. He needs a coach who will help him learn the playbook (He has a learning disability). I saw Nate play many times down at Ball State and he was an absolutely spectacular player! Someone needs to give him a chance!

Nate Davis has all the right instincts and just has incredible skills. I don't trust Singletary to know what the hell he is doing on offense. Otherwise, we would not have Jimmy Raye as the OC. Nate made some great plays and Sing never acknowledged that. All he had to complain about was he didn't know where the 3rd down marker was. They will wind up cutting Nate and he will be a big star someplace else.
