Leroy Fletcher Prouty was willing to speak out, he was in NZ when the news broke about Kennedy's assassination, he recognised the MO of a black operation, he worked in special operations at the pentagon, and he positively identified Edward Lansdale walking away from Dealey Plaza, a very courageous man.

Regardless on whether you think this is completely BS or not, it makes for some of the best political thrillers of all time. Even if it’s all pure fiction you are riveted start to finish and stay in complete awe about how massive the assassination plot is, the powers of interest to be and the power of the people behind all this. Oliver Stone at his best.

Couldn't agree more. I think it's one of the best *edited* films I've ever seen. It moves along at such a breathless pace, it's hard to take one's eyes off it. The fact that it's so bloody persuasive a film is a credit to Oliver Stone as a filmmaker (even though much of it is pure baloney).

This is more or less the big picture..... The detail on the ground is that there were 7 gunshot wounds in both Kennedy and Gov Connolly, the car windshield was hit, the windshield surround was hit, a man standing at the underpass was nicked with a bullet .... My only complaint about Oliver Stone was that he spent too much time on the New Orleans part of the story instead of the evidence in Dealey Plaza. In his defense, we know a lot more about the evidence NOW than we did in the 1990s. But this was a fantastic movie. One of the strange things that sticks out about that day, is there was lots of evidence of a threat long before the Motorcade. There was an almost identical plot in Chicago using Anti Castro Cubans and low and behold, a U.S. Marine who was stationed at the same Airbase as Oswald. They found rifles, and it was busted and the campaign visit was canceled. It was foiled by the first Black Secret Service Agent (Abraham Boulden) in History after he received a tip from a man named Lee.

I don't know, but as someone born and bred in Christchurch NZ (the small city with a big enough airport, being at 44 degrees South Latitude, that it is the service area for the Antarctic flights and servicing there). I can tell you we had 2 major 6-day a week newspapers, an evening newspaper "The Christchurch Star" and a morning paper "The Press", so if you are able to find online digitised versions of them, that is background info you could try to verify yourself. A couple of decades back, as evening newspapers declined as evening broadcast TV news gained popularity, the evening paper "The Christchurch Star" changed to being just a twice a week free newspaper, paid for entirely by advertising. Maybe now known as "The Star" still exists as a free twice weekly paper (with some limited local news) paid for by advertising. "Some" older newspaper material has been digitised by a free website "papers past". Not sure if you can find something there. Remember that NZ is AHEAD of USA date/time and November is our early Summer, so we will probably have been on Daylight Savings/Summer time, then. (But I was but a wee bairn m'self in 1963, so cannot say for sure).
