Being from here (DFW Texas) When Mark Cubans HDNet Fights teamed up with Sun Sports (Art of War). There was some great fights! I remember being cage side watching Jeff Monsons tooth fly out of his mouth! I hated that after only 3 fights, to see them part ways, but I get it. This is the last of the old school of UFC on Saturday. Nate may be past his prime but he's the last of the fighters in the UFC in my opinion. anything could happen Saturday, from a battle, a win, to him just taking a few punches and throwing his gloves down with his finger up in the first round shooting fuck you! Once you start doing this cross promotion shit shit gets political as fuck and egos get involved between promoters. Not that it doesn't happen in UFC but the political aspect is a lot less and to the point, if you don't like the term tough shit you signed a long fight contract take it or get cut or sit out and don't fight, you can retire but your contract won't allow you to fight elsewhere.this is why the best fight the fight the best because your value doesn't go down if you lose. Unlike boxing promoters don't want they're their guy to lose so they're stock doesn't drop and itll be much harder to get bigger paydays in boxing UFC doesn't matter because Dan's will keep pushing those guys through a prime example is Charles of the past til now. He never really cared about winning or losing and at this point he’s so desperate to get out his contract and has become so sick and tired of the sport and promotion he really doesn’t care how this final fight plays out as it’ll be his freedom regardless. As much as we want to see Nate win it’s possible we’re only gonna see an unmotivated version of him in his final fight.

Hmm… the hold one event, save up and do it again. Isn’t that how the UFC started and then after it had a massive fan base it exploded at the seems of Uncle Dana’s gambling wallet? Could we see a fight like the OG used to put on? Grapple vs. boxer vs. etc…? We have so many different fight promotion gimmicks out there. We have slap battles, 2 vs.1, 5 vs 5, and I’m sure there’s a legs only vs. arms only(elbows and knees added to make it more confusing). What do we not have?? We don’t have fighters who can sign for a single fight so they can bounce between fight promotions freely. I don’t know if that’s actually even possible because promotions have to protect the investment. If you payed me a million dollars to go out and fight once, how do I make sure i make that back? I could go out and get KO’ed by a fluke and go to the next promotion and put on the fight of the year. A multi-fight deal makes sure I give you a chance at getting that investment back. Even if it’s just a highlight reel for the person that sent me to the mat. What would keep a fighter from holding back to save themselves for a bigger paycheck that they already signed up for with another promotion? It can’t be on a promise or integrity because very few people have that these days. I could see a 1 event thing, but I just can’t see it being revolving door sort of thing.
