I call it more like a semi-retirement, in the sense that he basically just doesn't have to feel pressured by the algorithm or the nwtb brand to pump out music of popular ips like a machine. Sold off most of his catalogue, unclear how Mangled fits into all of it, but the retirement was more retiring from content creation, chasing the grind of the algorithm, things like that. He said he would always make music in some form. Retirement is weird bc content creation industry is still figuring out how to define how that works. Hope this helps! (Also don’t take my word for it above other things Nate might have said, I’m relaying info as I remember it from past streams ❤)
