Man the 90s Cowboys days was a dream come true for us fans.

And the Cowboys wasn't the same after that. I believe that is one thing that this team is missing. Is for someone to be that disciplinary in the locker room. Coach Johnson was that coach that stayed on his player's butt, yet he cared about them as well. Nate Newton is absolutely right about what he said. Shout out to you and Nate and the rest of the "Hanging With The Boys" crew.

Those days are long over. Jerry Jones decides what (beta) coach/coordinators he hires, what type of offense that should be executed, who gets the ball - WR likely (QB forces passes, interceptions rack up, QB becomes the fall guy and Stephen low balls the WR when contract talks begin), what type of defense should be executed, the type of players Jerry wants on defense (NTs who are light, LBs who are small, etc.) etc.. I will NEVER look at the Cowboys the same ever again....NOR will I respect the Jones family for destroying the Dallas Cowboy Culture and making this franchise the laughing stock of the NFL.

Can Never have that again as long as Jerry is there and over any coach Players can go directly to him. That's the Problem. Jerry

That’s why I wanted Belichick, Vrabel or Harbaugh and that’s why Jerry DOESN’T want them. He wouldn’t have as much control. And Lord knows, Jerry will be laying in his deathbed and say to Stephen, “Listen, I know who I want coaching this team next season.” 😮😅😂🤣😫😢😭

All we’ve had since Troy retired are Pretenders. I stuck by Jerry like an idiot because I thought he meant what he said. That he would DO ANYTHING, WRITE ANY CHECK to get to and win another Super Bowl. But since he brought back McCarthy and the little weasels won’t even fire DQ, I realize he’s just been lying. With another Draft Classlike the last one, and no FA, we’ll be a 💩 team. And Jerry won’t even TRY to make it up to us by signing Chris Jones, for a FA who would immediately improve our run D 100%.

@@Capncomeback2023 If it makes you feel better....the last time the Cowboys won a Super Bowl I was 28 years old. I stuck by this team from the Fall of 1996 through the 2023 NFC Divisional Round. I'll turn 57 come preseason. I saw enough and decided to detach myself from the Cowboys. But after watching the bombshell Law Nation provided....I'm officially divorcing this team. The only way I'll "remarry"...is if the Joneses completely sell the team and get replaced by an owner and GM who values the Dallas Cowboys Culture of the 70s and 90s and prioritizes deep postseason runs and Super Bowl(s) over revenue. Sadly....those who have come to see the light are 5% to 15%...the remaining fans will continue to remain disillusioned either through ignorance or by willful choice.

Yep and Nate knew it that the discipline wasn't there. The fear on the practice field that Jimmy would cut you or at least make your life miserable was gone. Jimmy knew the right buttons to push the right way to motivate or put the fear in to get the best out of the players. I will commend Barry for not changing what worked when it came to the coaching staff, but Barry let the players run the team. Letting those who were known to party let it get out of control. The 94 and 95 Cowboys won purely on talent.

I also have to add this man was a part of THE BEST TEAM that has ever existed in my mind Football was advancing We knew the name of every player Every price was clicking We had all three phases of the game Top rated Every phase of the game was precise and getting better and better It was special and I have no regrets or problems with what’s happening now because that magic is hard to capture That’s the deal That’s what is inevitable That’s the key to what y’all are trying to understand and I knew back then

I’ve been trying to tell all of these people the same thing and I keep getting “ you’re a farewether fan “ If they didn’t live through the Jimmy Johnson era they don’t understand disappoint at all. We had pro bowlers all pros all over that team. All three phases of the game. I would match that team up with any in the history of the game. And then we lost our coach over egos. With a chance to win 3 in a row.

I noticed almost immediately that the games did not have the same feel to it. With Jimmy there was always that confidence that the team was prepared, but that feeling was no longer there with Switzer. But Jerry showed Jimmy, without Jimmy's players jerry showed us all.

With Jimmy niners never would’ve beaten that 94 team ..For all the work SF did that previous off season Jimmy would’ve made sure his team was prepared and would’ve destroyed them in the regular season matchup destroying the niners confidence.

If Jerry could have put his ego aside and found a way to keep Johnson and his assistant coaches around for another 3-5 years Dallas probably would have won at least one or two more Super Bowls in that era.

The thing I remember about back then; Johnson forbade any fraternization between the players and the cheerleaders. There was a strict discipline under Jimmy. When Barry came along; riding on Jimmy’s coattails, he did away with all those restrictions.

On Jimmy's '92 & '93 squads, CeeDee unquestionably would start, either Tyler Smith or Zach Martin might possibly as well. Ferguson would probably be TE2. Dak would definitely back up Aikman. On Defense, Parsons definitely would. Good chance that Bland could start. Diggs too, depending on his recovery. The Cowboys didn't have a good kicker in either '92 or '93 so Aubrey would be the guy. So maybe 8 or 9 guys would even make the squad, with 6 or so of them even getting regular playing time.

Ok the first few minutes of this video I’m already committing This will explain it all When they won the back to back my friend I worked with said quote we’re gonna win another one We’re gonna win 5 or 6 Super Bowls And he was a fanatic He knew the game inside and out I said don’t say that That’s hard to do Your gonna jinx us The next Monday the news was out I said Then we’re done We missed a three peat Got lucky enough and enough of the team in tact we won one more and that was it I said Jerry Jones will never be blessed again because of that No curse has been lifted The expectations of the Cowboys “Americas Team “ is why all of this 29 year drought is about The 49ers have a 30 year absence from the Superbowl I have been right every year but remain a faithful fan because that’s how this game works The law of averages says you are not going to win them all And then the reasons for your losses exist Two teams play only one team wins 31 teams are disappointed every year But the loss of Jimmy and the loss of discipline was definitely the first cause Only one team has ever had a perfect season and there were less games then No one has EVER won 3 in a row We are held at the highest standard Only Pittsburgh and New England have more than Us We are tied with San Francisco I’m still proud of that no matter what happens
