A lot of Meinl’s artists play their cymbals like this. Guess that’s why they’re some of the higher priced cymbals on the market. Gotta make that money up somewhere.

Why is everyone bashing the drummer?? He's hitting every beat in the song exactly the way it is on the album.. It couldn't be more precise o.O
@themoaspecial10 жыл бұрын
It's the feel. It's completely different. How fluid, relaxed and powerful LP was when he played was a great thing to watch and a huge difference. Nate on the other hand is a little bit 'gridlocked' in his playing. I'm not bashing Nate as I think he's doing pretty well since LP is pretty hard to live up to but I guess just watch this video and then watch one with LP playing the same song and you'll understand.
@denniskillingswrth30410 жыл бұрын
Simon McDowell I agree that LP is superior. Nate young can't light a candle next to him. Still, Nate Young is above the average drumming mark (In my opinion) He can carry the beat. Like you said, LP is just hard to live up to for most drummers with that aspect.
@themoaspecial9 жыл бұрын
Dennis Killingswørth Yeah exactly. I think Yellowcard is not quite Nate's forte as I think it requires you to loosen up a bit more. However his playing in Anberlin was great! THAT was HIS forte.
@nukka2009 жыл бұрын
+Simon McDowell TRUE. he's playing it correctly but it feels choppy. and his drum set sounds like COMPLETE SHIT. IT IS NOT MIC'D THROUGH THE SOUNDBOARD CORRECTLY.
@ryannatalemusic9 жыл бұрын
+nukka200 hahah bro your literally a moron. i've been playing drums for 9 years and anyone with common sense knows that the house speakers are in front of the stage so standing literally right next to the drummer on a stage will have you hearing only the drums and you wont hear them through the house youll only hear the natural sound of them. go watch the actual video of this set from in front of the speakers and it sounds fine. stop telling people they dont know shit when its you who clearly doesnt know anything especially after "playing drums for 17 years"

The atmosphere there was awesome. This video doesn't do it justice. I was in the third row and they all played along well together. I agree that he isn't as fluid of a player but that is just the way he plays.

Yeah, I would think he'd crack those like once a show the way he plays em. Odd set up for an early 2000s mall punk band like this. Can't believe these guys are still around.
@AquaAnim10 жыл бұрын
It depends, thinner cymbals have always been more durable for me, and a lot of other people. They flex more, and have a lot more give.
@theDeathJoy10 жыл бұрын
AquaAnim I am aware of that, but isn't this drummer crossing the limit of flexebility?
@AquaAnim10 жыл бұрын
theDeathJoy Im not sure, I mean hes hitting them hard, but at the same time both those cymbals can bend all the way till both ends are touching each other and not break. I guess someone will have to personally ask him.

Matthew Viarrial It doesn't matter what it is, Nate doesn't do this song any justice. LP's drumming is sorely missed on YC's new album. If Rush replaced Neil Peart with someone who wasn't as good as him, it would be noticed.
