At 41:49, Nate says, “College is, basically, you pay a hundred grand to be good at Trivial Pursuit.” That is truly one of the most revealing insights into Nate’s mindset, and I can’t disagree, generally speaking.

My wife and I decided to stop by Zanies on our honeymoon while we drove through Nashville on the 21st and I was thoroughly surprised to see the complete cast of this weeks podcast live. Sitting on the left side of the stage, most of the comedians that night made some comments about how the guy next to me and I were sitting with our heads turned at a weird angle. Never even occurred to me to actually move my chair for a better angle. Dusty made it clear throughout his set that we were having a great time, Aaron stood further back on the stage which helped, and Mike was sure to bring up the truck population. All in all, we were having a great time. Love the podcast

So, it's scientific fact (according to the wisdom of us folks) that Nate has learning disabilities like ADD and/or dyslexia. Vecchione supposedly has a Master's in Special education, but he came at Nate pretty hard for someone who's supposed to be educated in helping people with learning disabilities. Pretty ondeskending if you ask me! Twilight Master's indeed!

When I was a little girl, my family used to go monthly grocery shopping. So when my dad would get paid, we would make a day out of going grocery shopping. We always got to go eat out, which was a rarity and very exciting. This particular occasion, they’d been talking all week about going to Cracker Barrel and then grocery shopping afterward. We woke up (it was April Fool’s Day) to bowls of Golden Graham cereal set out for us - possibly the worst cereal that exists. The relief that we felt when they told us that it was an April Fools prank was immense.

I work at a boutique in Chattanooga Tennessee and today a man walked in who resembled Nate so much that I had to tell him. He said that “he had gotten that once before but didn’t know who Nate was.” I must have embarrassed him though because he accidentally knocked over a display on our counter! After I explained that you were a comedian, I told him to watch your specials on Netflix! So hopefully you guys get a new fan soon!!! I didn’t mind the ads at first when Nate read them with unintentional humor mixed in then it was fun when soggy Bottom and A-a-Ron joined in because it had this feel of me and the boys just hanging out chatting about our experiences with things like “dude, you’ve gotta try out this new razor. It doesn’t give you razor burns down there!” But lately it’s felt like car salesmen. Please return the humor to the ads so I don’t have to skip them but they’re part of the entertainment.

Growing up, my dad was 6th of 7 so at breakfast they couldn't get a second bowl of cereal. My dad spent his childhood scheming to fit the most cereal in a bowl. He would start out with corn flakes and then add fruit loops along with other types of cereals. Finally, a mountain of Rice Krispies rose up from the brim of the bowl. He gained a liking to his multi-cereal concoction and continued eating it as an adult. Thankfully, he allowed us to just eat a second bowl of our favorite. I'll go proofread this now.

I don't understand why some things are determined worthy of a google, but not something as simple as "what is a ram?" Because it is simply a male sheep, not a cousin of the sheep that will likely show up at the family reunion...he is the father, grandfather, and brothers of the family. He is manning the grill at the family reunion.

Whoever said the moon doesn’t spin is an idiot. The moon does spin, but only once about every 27 days, which is the same time it takes to orbit the earth. That is why we only see one side of it. The rotation time and orbit time are the same. If it didn’t spin we would see different sides of it every night.

My Mom signed us up for a hypnosis session to help lose weight. It was at a Days Inn conference center with 100 other people. We were given the option to stay for a second hypnosis session to help stop smoking. There was a 10 minute intermission to go get our cigarettes and if we didn’t have them he encouraged us to “share with our neighbor”. During the session the hypnotist had us hot box a cigarette until we all got sick. After it was over he asked asked the crowd how we felt? When we replied sick, he said the session worked. 🙄 That was a long time ago and since then we have both stopped smoking and lost the weight without the help of our session.

Big Daddy Bates stopped at 2003 because he figured there was no way that Nate would make it all the way through his list of research. I'm frankly surprised they made it as well. I was explaining what happened in the last episode to my wife and all I could remember was extensive talk on Goat family reunions, fossil fuels, and wrestling. To which she promptly asked, how did does that relate to Diet & Exercise? It doesn't. Love the rants and various tangents, look forward to every Wednesday!

this episode with Vecchione, Slay, Weber, and Bargatze has a nice balance of uneducated lunacy and people who understand all of the words they're saying. My daughter is an embalmer. Green funerals are a huge thing - people are composting themselves in many ways. Personally, my funeral will be styled after Darth Vader's. Funeral pyre, robots, Ewoks.
