My parents have paid for their AOL for 20+ years even though they did NOT use it as their internet provider. They were only paying because they thought they would lose access to their email. Spoiler- I canceled for them and they did NOT lose access to their email.

I'm an Architect for a popular home remodeling show and it's infuriating. They don't like people to know that architects are involved so they have someone else take all of the credit. It led to their own Home and Gardens line at Walmart. Just always remember, there is SO much more going on behind all of these shows and a lot of times the person on screen actually has absolutely NOTHING to do with the design, build, permits, or even meeting with the client

I’ve got my husband on the Bargatze Train now after showing him The Tennessee Kid and The Greatest Average American. He got more giddy as Nate rolled through his jokes because of their similarities. We have a child who often sleeps in our bed and who sleeps red hot and contorts into different positions all night long. We live in Washington state and my husband has made almost the exact same joke about hiking on Mt. Rainier (the part about how condescending people on the way down the trail are when you ask how much further it is), and having anxiety after 40. He even had a full-on panic attack on the exact same ride at Universal and had to close his eyes and turn around backwards like a monster to make it through. The next day we got on the submarine ride at Disneyland and the moment they shut the lid and started pulling away he went from zero to sixty and started yelling that he needed to get off. They had to stop, put it in reverse, get the lid open for him, and he had to do the walk of shame past every single person on the ride AND in line. Also he has a beard, was born in 1979, and coincidentally our daughters birthday is March 25. Now he just listens to this podcast every week and goes, “I mean, come on. He’s me.”

When I was 19 in 1998 I moved from Arkansas to Las Vegas for college. Sitting in psychology class the professor talked about things that we remember in history. He said my generation would always remember where we were when OJ ran from the cops. He call on me out of a hundred people in class. I’ve been frog gigging one time in my life and that was the night. I then had to explain to people of Las Vegas what frog gigging was.

My dad is a pastor. He's also a procrastinator. He can preach pretty well off the cuff (when needed), but some hard of hearing people in his Sunday service that like to have a hard copy of the sermon to follow along. I found him early one Sunday morning typing out what he'd preached without a manuscript the night before. I guess he was "working through his material." Our Lutheran church uses the same three year common lectionary (scripture readings) as some other churches, but there are other systems out there too. I'll go proofread this now.

I don’t like change… I’m very glad that Nate’s back (before he even left), but Dusty’s gone for the week (I love you, Jon, but I’m not big on change). I usually listen to the podcast version where I can’t see anyone, and about 10-12 minutes in I had prayed for Dusty to return soon. Then all the sudden, I hear Dusty’s voice. God has answered my prayers in the past, but he’s never rewritten reality right before my ears before. I was speechless. Then I realized that it was just a separately recorded ad read… but not before I asked God for a few more things while he was on a roll. Great episode, y’all! Also, thanks to Jon for making this temporary change easier!

Hey Bear. Library v. Libary debate. Scrubs solved this issue in the episode "My Lucky Night" when JD posed a riddle to the Janitor and his cronies. The transcript is as follows: The Janitor : Hey! We solved your dumb game. Troy : We been to the libary! The Janitor : -BRARY... Troy! Library! Anyway, what two coins, when you put 'em together, make 30 cents and one of them isn't a nickel? Uhm... A penny and a 1972 dime with a Roosevelt imperfection, today worth exactly 29 cents. Dr. John 'J.D.' Dorian : No, no no. The correct answer is a quarter and a nickel. The Janitor : Uhm, no, because you said one of them isn't a nickel. Dr. John 'J.D.' Dorian : Right. The other one is. The Janitor : You lied to me. Dr. John 'J.D.' Dorian : No. It's a riddle. Troy : [to the Janitor] Uh, your face is red like a strawBRERRY! The Janitor : ...Don't have kids.

Hellooooo folks! Nathaniel aka Nate….I gotta say i normally LOVE this podcast and am always if-y about watching ones with guests but normally I’m proven wrong and the show is still great. WELL, sir. Not no more! (That’s my southern drawl coming out). I never missed Dusty so much, love you guys too A-land, Breakfest! Keep up the great work otherwise. Cheers

9:58 hey breakfast…that’s a fair point. But when my dear wife sees me grab a whole one, she just assumes half is hers. So I guess I’ll have to start using a beach towel like Nate. Let’s see her rip that!

Hey you guys, I’m a 73 year old women who hates tattoos because when I was young, I work in a hospital and I remember helping an old sailor with the tattoos all over his body. As a young woman, I was shocked by the sagging skin and what it does to a tattoo.😂. Another point is my daughter in law got a tramp stamp when she was young and thin, but oh boy, she gained weight and now the tattoo has stretched into meaningless garble.🤦‍♀️.

As a listener rather than a watcher, I was confused at the ZocDoc ad and thought Dusty popped in just to help record an ad. Now I know the ads are not recorded live as previously thought and I feel my life is a lie.

I think most of the time they are. I think since this was pre-recorded, they don’t know who the sponsors are going to be that week, so they record the ads closer to show time. Again, I think, I’m not sure c

The commercial reading with Dusty Slay when he wasn’t on the podcast had me all types of confused. Conspiracy theories about Dusty never leaving Nate’s house ensued.

My advice for the Pastor would be to use exegesis preaching. Don’t need to look for source material. The Lord already gave it to us. Next week, flip the page.

OK from my understanding mister Bargatze will be on the Are You Garbage podcast in the future. It would be great if the rest of the Nateland crew would do it too, hell would like mr. Jon Reep on as well.

I struggle hanging a picture due to the commitment, I know I would never be able to get a tattoo. Little sister went to college and 1st month got a taco bell tattoo on her leg!!

Why did you decide to do your new special in the round? Louis Ck recently said on a podcast that the view is better for the audience because it’s like everyone has a center seat. Great special btw

I learned at school that Descartes was a philosopher who had a job because he said, “am I real?” And he said that because he asked the question he is real. I bet dusty has a lot to say about that

It's too bad that the NFL isn't listening to Nate's script. Even missing the game winning FG, just having the Cowboys back in the Super Bowl again would be MIND BLOWING! :O
