I’ve been spending the days with him and my husband spends the nights with him. We have an 8 month old at home as well. It’s been such a challenging, scary time. I’ve been listening to you guys during my hours spent at the hospital and I want to thank you for the comedic relief. It feels like I’m hanging out with my fun dude friends and laughing hard feels so good during this time. I've been a 'Folk' from the very first episode, and I've seen SO MANY INACCURACIES (and loved them all). But of all the things that this show has been wrong about, nothing has upset me more than the Saved by the Bell talk in this episode. The beginning of Saved by the Bell was called Good Morning Miss Bliss, which was the name of their teacher. It was Zack and the crew in 8th grade and it was set in Indiana. The only people from the main show were Zack, Screech, Lisa, and Mr. Belding.

When I was teaching my daughter to drive several years ago, we took a long 12 hour drive up to Michigan where I grew up. I was loving the Dad/Daughter time, teaching her all the lessons of the road. We stopped at a rest stop, and about 50 Harley bikers followed us in. We were doing different stretches. Leg stretches, body stretches, when from behind us, I hear a guy yell, "LIFT UP YOUR ARMS!". Yikes, we're getting mugged, I thought. I told my daughter to stay calm, and don't make any sudden moves. We're in a public place, in broad daylight, we'll be fine. But as soon as you get a chance, run. I slowly turned around, and I was reminded that Michigan people are some of the friendliest folks on the planet. The guy yelling at us a big, burly biker, standing with one leg bent like a flamingo, and both his arms up in the air, stretching. "Lift up your arms like this, feels great!" He just wanted to share his favorite stretching move. Whew, close one.

Just finished the pranks episode. For our senior prank, me and 4 of my buddies let 2 goats loose inside the high school. Before we turned them loose, we spray painted the number 1 on one of them and the number 3 on the other. The next morning, they spent about 3 hours looking for goat number 2. Our principal kept hollering “Heeyyy Goat”! Was quite entertaining to watch. They found out who did it and called us all into the office. They became quite furious, when we each told them separately, that we did not know where goat number 2 was. We ended up getting detentions. Totally worth it!

A note on the pronunciation: it’s very subtle, but it is said like one continuous word “travercity.” Basically combine the “s” at the end of traverse and the “c” at the beginning of city. Also if you really want to be local, you can just call it TC. Hopefully this is confusing for Nate to read 😅

We went on to take down the 3 Dune Challenge at Indiana Dunes National park along Lake Michigan. 😛😰 Then we went into New Buffalo Michigan to eat a classic burger at the famous Redamak’s so I could officially say I have at least visited my neighboring state of 40 years. Nobody ever recommends the spaghetti from any restaurant, nobody says they have amazing spaghetti recipe you have to try, and I've never heard anyone say "I sure could go for a bowl of spaghetti right now." Now when my wife thinks I’m joking or messing with her, she makes me say, “let my yes be yes”. She then knows I’m telling the truth. The great thing is, I’ve learned that i can say “let my yes , B.S.” and she can’t differentiate between the two. I’m brilliant. Keep up the great work, guys! PS Nate, I’m the emcee/magician that hosts Jason Day’s BrighterDays event. The guy whose wife told John Crist that he had to work on his humility. Sorry for that awkwardness. Dusty, you might have been thinking about Faygo or Vernors. Both are from Michigan and both have or have had a building in Detroit.

Best part is listening to Dusty tell Bald Eagle that he can miss his uncle because he’s not getting paid by the job, when don’t comedians literally get paid by the job? This is why we all keep coming back so keep up the good work. Aaron if you need to use that Notre Dame education to explain why it’s funny we are all here for that too.
