I was put under anesthesia yesterday for an endoscopy. I was still asleep for a few minutes after and was dreaming I was a guest on the podcast. The nurse noticed I was waking up and started saying “Hey Ryan.” I was still dreaming when I heard her and I looked around the table trying to figure out who it was that was calling me. You all looked at each other confused and the dream ended. My mom and the nurse both cracked up when I told them. My mom asked me what podcast I was on and I started falling asleep again and said Nateland. She said “of course.”

I need Nate to ask and explain his gravity question to all guests. "Like if you're in a ball in the ocean, you stay on the bottom, but if it goes to space you float. How does it leak in?" To be in Ryan and Joe's brain as he explains it has got to be insane!

🚨 New listener here! 🙋🏼♀️🚨 A few little tidbits for you guys: 1. I discovered this podcast because you had Trey Kennedy on recently who I’m big fan of. I’d love for you to have him and Jake Triplett on together! 2. I got to see Dusty at a comedy club in Greenville, SC in 2022! I now regularly use, “We’re having a good time!” 3. Just watched Aaron’s Signature Dish set and it was AMAZING! I laughed the whole time! 4. Brian I truly appreciate your random facts that you contribute to the podcast! Keep ‘em coming! 5. Nate thank you being a great CLEAN comedian! I love Jesus and comedy, so clean comedy is all I listen to! I agree that it takes more comedic talent to be a clean comedian! 🙌🏼 6. You all are awesome! Looking forward to getting caught up on the episodes!

As an orchestra director, I was overjoyed to hear Dusty’s enthusiasm about classical music. It changed my life too, which is why I’m in the line of work I am today. Dusty, if you like cello, I highly recommend starting with what we call in the industry as the “big 3” cello concertos - Dvorak, Elgar and Haydn. I promise they won’t disappoint! Cheers, love the podcast.

Hello Folks!! I went to church with Nate at TGBC and his dad performed for the kids many times on Sunday evenings. It was always fun watching him perform. My wife and I also went to Kenny Clayton's house on New Year's Eve in 2004 and Nate performed for the small crowd there. It's so great to see the success that Nate is having and it's good to know that he hasn't changed since high school. Not so funny story...I took my oldest son to his show in Columbus, OH on January 12, 2024. I was so looking forward to it but unfortunately, 3 hours before the show, his girlfriend dumped him. Needless to say, he didn't get the full effect from the show so we're going to the August 23, 2025 show in Columbus. Hopefully, he doesn't get dumped again... Keep up the great work--you guys rule!

Any chance we can get Nate to read this poem for Valentine's Day? A tree toad loved a she-toad That lived up in a tree. He was a two-toed tree toad. While three-toed toad was she. The he-toad tree toad Tried to gain the she-toad’s friendly nod For the two-toed tree toad Loved the ground the three-toed tree toad trod, The he-toad tree toad tried in vain To gain her friendship, But from her tree toad bower With her she-toad power The three-toed toad Vetoed him.

Speaking of dropping animals off of things, where I live in Brasstown, North Carolina we celebrated the Possum Drop Festival on New Year’s Eve for many years before PETA got a hold of things and shut it down. The possum was slowly lowered to the ground in a plexiglass cage and was never actually harmed. Organizers of the event defended the festival by saying “the opossum is not actually ‘dropped,’ it is lowered with great care. We treat our little friend with respect, hold him in awe, and do not inflict any injury or traumatize God’s creature of the night”

Without Aaron, no one was able to do the math on the beavers to figure out three dollars to $168 is exactly 21 times the exact same ratio as $300 going to $6600. Ohoi folks! Looking forward to seeing Nate for the first time in Oslo in April. But the 5 hour drive one way, makes it hard to make it out when comedians once in a while come to Norway. I've been dreaming about going to the US and seeing as many comedians as possible, but it is not easy to make the shows align. So when the Nateland Cruise announced with the Norwegian Jewel, I took it as a sign! What other opportunity do you have to see that fine tuned list of comedians (and Bryan), in one fell swoop? Adding on a podcast taping AND the chance to see Breakfast in the wild in his natural habitat, sounds like a no brainer. The only thing missing is Dusty smoking y'all in the pool!

Don't know how long your "tease" for the big game spot is but what they should've done was a full :30 leading up to the game as a promo for the big game spot. That’s it, I need a movie about the Beaver Drop ASAP! Here’s my pitch: Joe: Mayor of the Beaver infested town Ryan: Idahoian who’s porch keeps getting dismantled by beavers Nate: Pilot who takes the job way to serious Dusty: Not sure his officially title but he’s on the Beavers side. Brian and Aaron play two guys in the mayors office with opposing opinions on if they let Oregon join the state of Idaho or not.

Love seeing Joe on the pod. The episode reminded me of when I went to Chattanooga to see Murr perform. Before his show my friend and I went to eat at Community Pie. As we were walking in, a man, that I swore looked like Aaron held the door open for us. I then googled to see where Aaron was performing, and to my surprise he had a show that same night in Chattanooga. I have always wondered if it was Aaron or not. He was wearing a Barstool hat. I figured that was a betrayal to Nateland. Anyways, I cannot wait to see Dusty at the Walker Theatre for his special taping!!

I live in Canada. When I was a kid in the 80s, we lived on the outskirts of a smaller city. One morning the household awoke to my mom freaking out that there was a giant rat on the deck. Turns out it was a beaver... which we realized when it uncurled its tail and slapped it on the deck. My mom was yelling, who do we call?? Of course, my sister and I chimed back, "GHOSTBUSTERS!" because that's what year it was. She called the RCMP (police) non-emergency line to see what she should do... and they asked if she'd been drinking. She explained that she woke up to get ready for work and found it there. It had chewed through a lot of the wood and it pooped so much that I don't know how that much poop fit in its body. The RCMP showed up with animal control and the last I saw of the beaver, it was walking slowly down the sidewalk with the animal control officer beside it and the cop car driving really slowly alongside.

My favorite Bobby Kelly moment, we were next to each other in standing room only at a Red Sox game. Just making jokes and laughing for 3+ hours. We all laughed…a lot… I often wonder if he’d remember meeting me out in the wild!

I love you guys, but I have suffered in silence for long enough. Things float in space because there is no gravity. Things float in water because there is a force called “buoyancy” that is acting AGAINST gravity. In water (or any fluid) the buoyant force pushes back with an upward force equal to the water that an object displaces. The gravity is still there, it is just being counteracted. So in a metal ball sinking in the ocean, if the ball is filled with air, there would be no buoyant force to push against gravity INSIDE the ball to make someone inside float. The only buoyant force is on the OUTSIDE, where the water touches the ball. In space, there is no gravity OR buoyancy, so things float inside and outside the ball.

The last few discussions on gravity have been hilarious. Gravity isn't an element or substance of matter. A basic explanation is that gravity is a force of attraction between objects in space. The more mass an object has, the stronger it's force of gravity is. Now the reason the astronauts float in space is because the space station is orbiting the earth. Orbiting meaning traveling at a high rate of speed around the earth so that it doesn't just come crashing back into earth. They have traveled far enough away from the earth while maintaining orbit so that the effects of gravity are less enough to allow them to float. I hope this explanation helps. Hey Bear!
