I've been watching you on Utube for a while, you seemed very relaxed during this exchange. You and Nate worked well together. I enjoyed the watch.

Qroo Paul has an amazing amazing channel for learning Spanish. I myself really haven’t spent that much time trying to learn Spanish and with his videos I can create a ton of my own sentences without having to think to much or at least get close to where I am understood. The patterns work and you can use them interchangeably over and over and just throw in new vocabulary as you learn them. Really the only hard part is remembering those irregular verbs and expanding your vocabulary, which is my problem since I don’t study the language very much. Finding someone to just talk or text in Spanish is very helpful as well, I find if I can see the words in Spanish and hear the words spoken in Spanish I am able to pick up a lot more. My issue is really with listening comprehension and not speaking, I can say what I want to say I just can’t understand when Spanish is spoken back to me very well.

I love your videos and in general, anyone wanting to learn spanish...It's funny and interesting how we work(ed) so hard to learn english cause it's a big deal nowadays and at the same time we got a lot of people wanting to learn spanish.

Enjoy both of your channels! There is no "fast way" to learn a foreign language. Which is why I haven't bothered to learn another. Yeah, probably a negative attitude but that's how it is for me. Fluent in Spanish after more than 50 years. Intermediate Russian but could use a review. Without any specific need I'm just not motivated. Keep up the good work, guys! Regards from Indiana!

I just started to try and learn Spanish. I'm not learning it for work or to move to mexico or anything, it's just there are so many new people arriving to the country, lucha libre on tv and other things that I thought it would be great to have something that doesn't block us from communicating and possibly making new friends. I'm also interested in learning a few other languages as well.

It's interesting that you emphasize grammar (patterns/formulas). Kaufman would tend to say ignore grammar for the most part.

Que sorpresa 🎉. Estoy aprendiendo español pero actualmente yo creo no estoy mejorando. 😢, pero yo creo que el problema es cuando yo llegué en mi nivel, terminé estudiar y empecé esperar. More like I started to relax and expect more progress. I forgot what got me to the level in the first place. But I am back baby. Grammar, aquí sigo.

Hi Paul. Do you teach standard Spanish or is it Latin American Spanish you teach? I am wanting to learn standard Spanish as I plan to visit Madrid on a regular basis next year. Many thanks

It is crazy how much Spanish language information I can tell you that I have no idea how to explain in English.

Been with my Mexican wife for 3-yrs & she only speaks Spanish, but I only speak to her becuz she is Latina & won’t let me talk to any other Latina & doesn’t want me to have Mexican friends becuz doesn’t want me to become machismo. But I still can’t talk to a normal Spanish person good & I only understand 20% of what other people say. I live both in LA & Guadalajara for work & wife lives in GDL & LAX flights back/forth as we wait for her greencard. I thought I’d be able to speak Spanish by now but I feel like I actually need to learn the basics and actually try to speak/pronounce Spanish then practice it for real to actually learn. I don’t feel like my Spanish will get any better until I actually put in the effort vs. just the same conversations I have with my wife.
