Did anyone notice @ 21:50 when one girl was not crying and cheering for Kim Jong Un while the rest of the kids were? He noticed and approached this little girl and even sat beside her. Same here. I learned a few things. When i saw the news by those so call western medias, it only show the killing part. They never mention about the CIA regime change part. If you think about it, the CIA was responsible for Kim half brother death. I got curious and look up famous operations by the CIA. It seem they're well known for putting ruthless dictators on the throne. The most infamous episodes include the ousting of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh in 1953 - whose government was replaced by an authoritarian monarchy favorable to Washington - the removal and assassination of Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba in 1961, and the violent toppling of socialist Chilean President Salvador Allende, whose government was swept aside in 1973 by a military coup led by the ruthless Gen. Augusto Pinochet. (American dad made a episode on this one with the dancing dictator?) CIA involvement in coup 1965 is one great example on how the west took sides by supplying weapons, made propaganda and indirectly killed more than 3 million innocent lives. Their strategy is based on "divide and conquer". This document was declassified by CIA because many activists around the globe condemn the war crimes of US and their allies. Not only that, CIA overthrew the legit president of indonesia and replaced it with a corrupt Suharto who supported the US. That's how US mining company 'freeport' got hold of indonesian biggest gold mine. In 1954, Washington unseated Guatemala's left-wing president, Jacobo Arbenz, who had had the temerity to challenge the vast control of the United Fruit Co., a U.S. corporation, with agrarian laws that would be fairer to Guatemalan farmers. The CIA went on to install and back a series of right-wing dictatorships that brutalized the impoverished nation for almost half a century. CIA always worked with NED. (National Endowment for Democracy). They always try to destabilize any country with different ideology. All started way back after the end of world war 2, the cold war started. US sees other ideology as dangerous and feel the need to bring democracy to all countries, so in other words, every US presidents starting from harry s truman are all involved. Believing democracy as a perfect system that all countries MUST adopt. This made US act aggressively and invade nations with different ideology, creating wars and chaos around the globe. --F Liu

36:51 The Korean War never officially ended in 1953. North and South Korea signed an armistice, establishing a truce over 70 years ago. @@RedxRiot Thats not true. You could lose your job, and your whole livelihood based on your comment. And you coukd lose your social media access based on what your stand on a certain issue. You'd be censored. This has happened thousands of Americans, and in your neighbor Canada they went further abd froze bank accounts of the protesters. You guys a simple protest on Jan 2020 an insurection and had jailed many peaceful protesters. Now compare that to democracy protests West supported in Hong Kong, they looted the whole parliament, yet American media said violent was worth the freedom. In places like China and Russia you are free as long as you abide by existing laws, unlike in US where you could lose your job for a comment, political stand, which are rights granted by the law. Freedom in US is just an illusion. Why do you think US continue to censor all those Russian outlets. Dont you have a right to freedom of information, freedom of choice, freedom of consceince i dont think so.

Beautiful documentary. That lead-in to his grandfather at 2:05 was amazing.

As pessoas caminhando em meio a uma tempestade de neve, ajoelhadas devido ao frio, e o líder cavalgando como se estivesse se divertindo. Que tipo de jogo é esse?

I like that national geographic trys to see Kim from all angles and not just that he's a mean dictator like or media shows all the time. He is just human after all. And put into a hard role and did not get raised like the rest of us. What more can you expect from that kind of a childhood

He actually grew up in the west, lol. Only when he got older did he go to North Korea.

@@FrankypankyV8 Kim Jong Un apparently does speak English? I just imagine he would not use it out of respect 'for his own language' or so. Seeing he lived in Switzerland he must know German very well? It is the same with Germans in Germany, or like the German husband of my aunt, they don't speak English even though they can speak it. I am not sure why, I just feel like they respect 'their own language' too much and that people should adapt to THEM, lol.

What ignorance. He's a fat stupid murderer and could make compassionate caring choices if he wished. He could make a difference to millions of lives, instead he uses people like toilet paper. He will pay when he dies and has to answer to God.
