I like how they include when they're wrong too! Because they like to show you when they catch everyone and how the cops always have to "look good" and "be right" but they're wrong too sometimes. It helps humanize them and hopefully teaches them too that NOT EVERYONE IS A SUSPECT sometimes they're just traveling and confused - not smugglers!

Nigeria ratified the UNESCO Convention to protect culture heritage in 1974. That clearly dictates that exported cultural material (in some cases there are clear and specially issued export licences) are automatically looted goods and must be seized and returned. Awesome job to those border patrol officers.

@michaelgeorge4780
@michaelgeorge4780 6 ай бұрын
@@shyone8386 Nope, not a shot. In fact, it would make the issue worse. California where I am legalized Marijuana, and guess what? Illegal grows actually went up, because the taxes on weed are so high that people would rather just go to a dealer than go to a dispensary. The only people in CA who visit a dispensary are tourists, everyone else has a dealer lol. The advantage of drug decriminalization is that it allows addicts to seek help, and stops prosecution of people who are possessing. But it does not in any way stop the black market one bit. I still believe that drugs should be decriminalized, but people act like that's going to immediately dry up all the crime, when in fact it wouldn't even dent drug dealers' profits. And as long as there is profit to be made, there will be violence to control it. The issue was that we made it illegal in the first place!

What that doctor said about artifacts and the importance of them to a country/community, it made me tear up, because so much of Korea's history was also taken, stolen, ripped from our coutry and like with any artifacts, should be returned to its rightful owner. I believe SO much in what we, the USA, stand for, and all the good they do returning all these artifacts. I just pray that more artifacts (for all countries on earth) should find its way back to their land instead of being sold, when its significance is more than what it is being sold in the black market for.

I feel so bad for a lot of these drug smugglers as a lot of them do it out of desperation. I also feel bad for those who consume these drugs as I believe they too, are doing it out of a sense of desperation. A hope to feel better in a bitter and unpredictable world. Perhaps disappointed or bruised, drugs may bring a temporary happiness or peace. I know a peace that passes all understanding. And it is not in the world of drugs.

It's illegal. Only some states stopped criminalizing it. But federal law is above state and that's why it's illegal. Like with illegal immigrants in California.

the bust of the monoliths was freaking AWESOME.... WHY would people need that much money that they'd steal them? I suppose I should shake my head - people displace the humans and animals and history ...

Yes there's still robust international trade for the illegal nest made from Swifts that are collected along Cliffs it is made from the spit of birds The Nest are considered Delicacies because of course they are considered good for virility among other medicinal uses and just like the Rhinos horns animals are maimed and/or killed and devastated because people think they need fertility from these special Foods
