I was in Corvallis, Oregon at the time, and I SAW THE WHOLE THING!! After THIRTY years of waiting, I FINALLY get to see a total solar eclipse! It was so AWESOME!! I had family there, so it was no trouble at all to find a place to stay. I really am lucky, I know that now. The drive back home was awful, but the eclipse was absolutely worth it. Funny thing, the drive there was EASY! No serious traffic at all going there, it was all in coming back. The next eclipse in the USA will be in April 2024, or so I read. I'll be sure to plan for a trip to the totality part then, too. Total solar eclipses truly are beautiful, I feel like I won the lottery.

Fun facts: Solar eclipses was a way to study the Sun's atmosphere in the past. The size of the Umbra on the surface of the Earth is about 160 km across. The planets can be seen during an eclipse. Solar eclipses do not only happen on Earth, but on other planets too. Actually, some planets may have multiple solar eclipses at the same time. The next total solar eclipse will happen on 14 of December 2020 and will be visible from Argentina and Chile.

An eclipse is just: "an obscuring of the light from one celestial body by the passage of another between it and the observer or between it and its source of illumination." It's more like "soul"ar eclipse you just feel it in the soul. The energy when you are in the path of totality is phenomenal. No pictures I have seen captured it like my eyes and memory, the ring was pulsating, sunrays lashing about and the animals were going wild. It was so extraordinary. Thank you Bend Oregon and the Ochoco National Forest for hosting us with the most amazing time. "Feel free to howl at the moon"
@gaminggladiator063 жыл бұрын
I remember my first solar eclipse, i was a few years ago, from now. During the eclipse, it was rather cloudy outside, so we were worried we wouldn’t even get to see it. Me, my brother and my mom went to an open fieldwere people were gathering to watch. Just as it was a few minutes from the eclipse, our horrors were realized. The clouds started rolling in and nearly covered the sun completely. We thought we were going to miss our possibly only chance of seeing an eclipse when we noticed something, the sun was still noticable through the clouds. The cloud coverage didn’t get very thick until later in the day, so the suun’s light was still coming through. In fact, in an interesting turn of events, the coverage was just thick enough to not only still be able to see the eclipse, but some people were actually able to see the eclipse through the whole thing without their glasses. I know, it sounds crazy to do so, but the light wasn’t that bright to do any harm, only just be visible through the clouds. I have to say, it wasn’t exactly the experience i thought i’d get, but now i think i can safely say that i was one of many that managed to view a solar eclipse without eclipse glasses, and without losing vision.

lol these people played terraria alone and stopped playing before it gets better. As a terraria fan, I can say easily the worst part of the game is the grindy beginning. It gets better when you're ready for your first boss though. Also, it's as if the game was meant to be a multiplayer game. Without friends dicking around with you, it's kinda boring...

Warning! If after viewing the total eclipse of the sun, you see a strange and unusual plant for sale, under no circumstance should you purchase the plant, Nor should you feed your dentist to said plant! Doing so may result in dire, albeit very musical, consequences. You have been warned. Spread the word.

0:11; By "cosmic chance" even though the sun is 400 times wider than the moon, it is 400 times farther away. This universe is established on thousands of such "cosmic chances" One chance missing and boom....
@Darkclowd3 жыл бұрын
This is the type of stuff that might make me believe in a cosmic creator. Another example is how the moon spins around the Earth at the exact same speed the Earth rotates.
@kostas95922 жыл бұрын
@@Darkclowd That's not right. The moon spins around its axis once for every orbit around the Earth. This is called tidal locking and results in the earth only ever seeing one side of the moon. It's not exclusive to earth, many moons of other planets are also tidally locked

Beautiful celestial phenomenon. And it is remarkable that it does not negatively affect people's lives. After all, physical laws are unshakable. Throughout the known visible universe laws are so stable and reliable that, in areas where scientists have knowledge of these laws, they can calculate the movements of the moon, planets, and other celestial bodies with split-second accuracy. For this, praise our Creator.
