Divorce after divorce, Nathan watched his mom sink into addiction. After a childhood of disappointment, he got married and became a police officer, only to wake up one morning with his body bruised and gums bleeding.
Would cancer just become another episode of disappointment in Nathan's life? Eventually the doctors told him to go home, get into hospice, and get comfortable. Reality sunk in. Would he be there the day he daughters got married? Was God really enough? With it came brutally honest questions he asked to God, with his life hanging in the balance.

I love this. Nathan was my cousin and I find myself coming back to this video around this time every year because I miss him so much, but I saw firsthand what God did in his life and that encourages me so much. I miss you so much, Nathan.

This story..... Is it coincidence, I think not! My Tim, my soulmate, was diagnosed with with cancer on Feb 14, 2012 at the VA hospital in Houston, Tx. Leaving behind a son, age 7 and a daughter, age 10. Our daughter brought her daddy to Jesus two weeks before he passed. She cried in his arms saying she sad she was never gonna see him again. And if he believed, she'd one day see him in heaven. That moment on Tim prayed, talked to God. It was something I waited for, for so many years. Beautiful things happened our last two weeks. Too much to even share. One of our last conversations was Tim telling me 'He's done a lot of bad things in his life, and he was ready to meet his maker and go fishing in heaven. We will see you again Tim!

The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21 NKJV) Nathan's testimony only represent the glory of God. Only he could have helped him through this trouble times. In the video I can see he flesh wise hurts but spiritually he is strong in The Lord! Nathan's faith is an example of a faithful man of God. God bless his soul. And Lord I pray for Nathan's family. And his children. But I pray his testimony only shows them that God is there and he will get them through anything and everything. Nathan was a great person and a great example of what living a godly life is like. Its not always easy, its not always what we want it to be, but it is always the most important thing in our lives and the lives of everyone we come in to contact with. I knew Nathan and his family, I pray for them and I find peace from Gods promise that they will one day be reunited with him in heaven. I know that when he entered the gates of heaven and met Jesus he was told " Well done my good and faithful child"

Whew.. Can't quit crying. God does sometimes say "no." I pray with all my heart, that "if" He calls me home on 4/24/14, when I'm scheduled for surgery, my life glorifies God ½ as much as Nathan's did. What a hard life he lived. And, what a beautiful heart! God bless his family.

If I could speak to Nathan knowing what has subsequently occured, I'd say: "Brother, you prayed big and our Lord heard. Your life was spent well in service to our Lord; your wife and children have been blessed abundantly: for this reason, at the least, rejoice. Heartbroken for his family & the loss they carry within them. Yet reassuring that he didn’t waste his time & was a faithful servant til the end. For 27 of 29 years I have been my child’s caregiver & so difficult to watch her deteriorate & suffer in a way no one should. My only solace is having the same comfort as Nathan’s family, knowing where her final destination will be & she will be among God’s chosen like Nathan Schroerer.

This had me crying! It is one of the most powerful things I have seen in a long time and also being second, and having my life altering baptisms in 2015, I am SO glad I was led to this because I am a huge fan of KORN~! I was crying the whole time I couldn't believe, in his childhood he went through so much pain and didnt deserve pain again . Sometimes I dont understand god in any way. He could of have good future but too young to go . And left his young family alone . He is not in pain only the loss of him is painful . Hope god give them strength to go on for the future .
