I appreciate that! Super happy to hear. Nothing better (in my opinion) than writing your own programming 💪🏼

I’m 5’8 and I was able to dunk at 15 when I was doing football workouts and playing basketball everyday, rim grazers and catching alleys very close to the rim.. first time I dunked I had my friend stand up on a chair and keep the ball at the rim! I’m following these now at 28 and now I wan to to be able to dunk again! Great content!

Hey Nathaniel’s great vid, I have to wake up at 5:30 every day for school and go to bed at 9 to get 8 hours on school days but on weekends I may stay up a little later and wake up a bit later due to preference. Is that ok because I have heard to get optimal sleep you must go to bed and wake up at same time every day. Thanks

You already know the answer.

It’s definitely better to go to sleep at the same time every night, but not the worst thing if you stay up a bit later on weekends and sleep in a little longer in the mornings. I do the same thing. 8:30-9pm on weekdays, and honestly midnight on some weekends. It would 100% be better for me to go to sleep at 8:30-9 on weekends as well, but not crazy important to me to do that anymore. I’d rather live a little 😂

I’m a year older than you dude I hope I can dunk again. When you do box squats, how tall should the box be? I’ve been doing parallel is that OK? Or should I be aiming for the quarter more?
@NathanaelMortonКүн бұрын
You can get it for sure. Parallel is great. Maybe in a backoff phase when you want to jump a little higher add those quarter box squats, but parallel is awesome.

For sure - so if you DON’T care about building muscle, it becomes easy. You just lift FAST and lift HEAVY for low reps. Think 5 sets of 3 reps of bench press with light/moderate weight on the bar, and move it as fast as possible. Or 5 sets of 5 as heavy as you can go. By lifting fast you focus on power, by lifting heavy you focus on strength. BUT if you DO want to build muscle, that’s where you do a bit higher reps, more time under tension, more bodybuilding-style training. A lot of athletes could actually really benefit from doing some bodybuilding training and building a nice base of strength. Hope this helps a little!
