Something really cool I've noticed is that if you're playing as Mugman with the cookie charm, the chef captures Mugman instead of Cuphead. And if you don't use the charm, he captures Ms Chalice.

Another hidden phase is turning small while the Genie reads your mind. It removes an entire phase, and makes the final phase more challenging

@Alfie Bell Considering the Dog Chinook doesn’t flip the screen in the secret phase, I think it might be easier. I haven’t fought that phase, though.

The fact that the Bad section is only 2 minutes and the fact that most of the complaints are jokes shows that this game is nearly flawless.

@@the8thark Honestly, I think it is just obligation, I think he was just trying to think of things to complain about, but couldn't really. And also: I don't think there is any bias, as he can judge N64 games pretty harshly, while loving them.

@Talentless Bear Getting a grey filter for pascifisting every run-n-gun and a golden Chalice for completing every boss in order. NGL, the rewards are unbelievably awful and underwhelming, that's all I can come up with honestly

I feel like this video shouldn't have really taken a "good vs bad" format. While the "good" section of the video had decent points, the "bad" section was entirely nitpicks. Not much was really said other than things that were so specific that they couldn't really be held against the game as a whole.

This game has some of the best boss themes of all time. I love Beppy the Clown's theme so much. When I played this for the first time, it actually took me less than 5 or 10 times to beat some of the bosses but even then, it felt immensely satisfying to beat them.

It’s a masterpiece but I feel like it could have had more unlockables like for beating every boss on expert you unlock a secret superboss, getting every S rank you unlock a hidden cutscene or a secret ultra hard run n gun level that you can only access once you get 300% completion that’s located at the lighthouse or something. Hopefully they do some stuff like that in Cuphead 2.

That's honestly one aspect of this game that has always intrigued me. In a lot of games, the bosses HP meter is displayed on screen, so you can actively see how much progress you've made. In this game, you have no idea how much progress you've made until you've either died, or got a knockout.

Cuphead is a game that is almost, if not a Flawless Game. Everything is crafted to Perfection, from the graphics and art style to the Bosses to the difficulty. Amazing Game, and great video!

I hope it is not just me but the hardest fights in the game are my favorites. The devil, Cali maria, grim matchstick, and doctor cals robot. Especially the robot In my opinion. Took awhile but they're really tricky patterns and attacks, and the phases requiring constant trail and error turns me on because I love getting better than those around me. And also love there boss stages and models overall. The robot in particular once I learned it's inspirations behind it, it gives me a such nostalgia fighting it, while getting my but kicked in inside out. The flower though I should also say is one of my favorites, no need to explain why.

The only fight in the whole game I struggled on was the dragon. That speaks volumes about it's difficulty when I beat the robot in like 4 tries, the devil in 2, and all 10 fights for King dice in one run. And that was after watching a video on an entire playthrough so knew what was coming.
