Programming Your Federal Signal Siren

**2025 ADVICE** I still see this video is very popular and from my understanding, it seems to be the information I provide in this video is outdated or no longer relevant. Truth is, this siren did nothing but cost me a lot of money and heartache. I sold this thing years ago... Even though it was one of my favorite sirens ever created, it was not worth it from a tech / installers POV. Exclusive instead of momentary or on and off is why they only work with the slide switch on.

So the issue im running into, is after putting the control head into program mode and plugging the cord in, the software isnt reading the control head. which it was as of last saturday.

yes same issue downloaded program and program not reading the control head so in not connecting so aggravated

Truth is; me getting rid of that siren was the best thing I ever did. That thing cost me so much money and heartache; it was unmatched. Like an abusive relationship... After reading y'alls comments years later, I'm even happier I done got rid of it. I truly do wish you the best of luck with it

If you go to the website I put in the description, you can type in all of FS’s siren they have. They have pre-recorded audio files of every siren they got you can listen to for free! :))

I just purchased a platinum 3000 but it didn't come with any of the wires. Wondering if you can show what wiring it needs please or website I can get what it needs .

There should only be 3 different sets of wires. 16 pin for relays, 18 pin for relays, and a 8 pin for speaker/horn ring I believe. Maybe if you call up Federal Signal, they'll be able to sell the adapters? Hopefully at least!

So I was able to purchase all connectors and harness and able to program everything I need but now only issue I m not able to hear siren tones not even from siren Amp. Is there something I'm doing wrong.?

I am trying to program mine, but it is wanting credentials and wont let me download without that.. i am just a collector trying to get mine working right 🤔🤔

@@NathanielTexas I ended up contacting FS and they gave me a work around to get logged in. Turns out I had a hardware issue anyways that was causing the siren functions not to activate via the slide switch

Question, on the platinum series I notice the manual tone is different on some models. Some have the wail that rises slowly and one that it peaks instantly. Is this a configuration option?

Yep! It’s called manual coast and just manual I believe.
