That high quote was because they didn't want to do the job. Lawn guys deserve to be paid straight away, not wait months chasing their money.

@KB, there are definitely people who overcharge just because they can get away with it, and this job was pretty straightforward and visible, but a lot of times there are unforeseen elements when doing landscaping and an inability to know how much of a certain material you’ll need. Also, I can assure you that for every landscaper that tries to overcharge, there are 20 customers that try not to pay, or not pay the quoted amount.

Nathan I can't believe what the guy quoted him. I think he must have been changing him by the leaf, stem, and blade of grass to have come up with that quote. Not Lawns buy get a quote from uber for a car/taxi lift. If they don't want to do it they quote sometimes 4 times the price😢😮

Love this - wish your posts were longer as you do such a great job. A pressure wash, some potted plants and a nice chair out there and this kind man could enjoy some sun and enjoy that space. You gave him a real lift and us too.

Your kindness reminds me of my neighbors. You deserve more recognition for your work. My next door neighbor gave us a lawn mover after they paved their yards. So my brother would clean the small patch on her part of the street, every 2 weeks, for 3 years now. My neighbor across the street would cut/mow both of our sidewalks. In return, we gifted each other our home grown fruits/veggies, and parking spaces.

The small gifts of kindness like this really makes a huge difference in someone’s life. It really does. I live alone for years and suffer depression/anxiety but it’s these little kindnesses like this that bring me back to life. They place a spark of love inside that I had forgotten about and you can almost see light coming in. So please friends, give out acts of kindness wherever you can because it totally changes another person’s life for good.

Good on ya. When I was a teen our local government had a program where community groups could get funding to hire a couple of students for the summer, and then we provided free yard work services to people in need. It was a great program, win win for the whole community. I got job experience as a young person and people in need got help like this. I remember having some great conversations with people as I did a basic tidy up like this, those kind conversations were probably as helpful for them as the yard work.

Good job helping the old bloke out... a good tool to have is a power broom that clicks into place on the shaft instead of other heads... works great on pavers just like this situation, driveways etc... like halfway between a simple trim & blow job and a full pressure wash...

Nathan, thanks for this video, thanks for helping this bloke. I have a situation far less a disaster and also a tad smaller. For fysical reasons to much for me, but you showed me that with some help it certainly is posible to cleanup the place. Do you have any advice for getting rid of roots that have been grown deeply into the ground ? After cleanup how do i prevent the place to overgrown again ? Greets from the Netherlands.
