An FYI - because I'm using thicker yarn & a larger hook size with this stitch I had to make some adjustments: changed front post DC to front post SC & went to 2DC on each side instead of 3DC. But its still beautiful! Wish I could post photos.😊

Depends how wide you want the shawl to be. Keep chaining and put the chain on you as you will put the shawl and see what number of chains you did and then start the project.
