the opposite is true; yugoslavian anthem is similar to yugoslavia's anthem, which in turn is the same as the slovak anthem at the time of WW2 and the czechoslovak anthem (i think), which in turn got it from Hey Slovaci

Slovak former anthem "Hej Slováci" is the original version, written in 19th century by Slovak poet Samo Tomášik, after being inspired by the melody of the Polish anthem and the fight of the Polish people for their freedom. Later the song was adopted as an anthem of all Slavs.

The Polish anthem was composed in July 1797 in Italy, precisely in the city of Reggio Emilia, by Józef Wybicki, lieutenant of the Polish army under the orders of General Dabrowski, who together with the Napoleonic troops had intervened in Italy in defense of the newborn Cispadana Republic. To celebrate the value of the commander and the love for the distant homeland to which they aspired to return, this piece was composed which was performed for the first time ever under the palace of the bishopric of Reggio Emilia, where the General was staying. Every year, in July, a Polish delegation comes to Reggio Emilia in Italy to commemorate the event together with the city authorities. In Reggio Emilia there is a street dedicated to the composer of this musical piece

In the year of 1807 the Duchy of Warsaw was formed by Napoleon, a good help was being given to the Poles by Napoleon. Together the Polish and the French army march to Moscow but the cold snowy weather halted their march, in that chance the Russian push them all to Warsaw and in the year of 1815, Kingdom of Poland is formed under Tsarist control. Because of the good efforts by Napoleon to Poland they put his back name "Bonaparte" in their anthem.

Sekularyzacja to wynik rozwoju cywilizacyjno-technologicznego.

Mazurek Dabrowskiego and Il Canto degli Italiani are my two favorite anthems. I am neither Polish nor Italian, but I can at least understand parts of the polish culture and discover similarities whenever I meet Poles, even if I dont speak the language. The reason for that is probably that my grandmothers family were ethnic Germans who lived in Wroclaw before 1945 when it was named Breslau and belonged to the german historical region of Silesia. After the Allies had carved up Europe, the Soviets deported all Germans east of the Oder river, and they went to the Ruhr area, where most of them still live today. She never spoke of her life back in Wroclaw, but I think that she was ashamed of what the NS-regime did to the Polish, especially the comparatively large jewish population, which was almost completely wiped out in the concentration camps (or moved to Israel after 1948). That this entire people group, always so open and tolerant, even towards others, had to face the final solution from those whom they had granted forgiveness for their past crimes only 20 years prior. You had to fight even for your basic freedoms so often throughout your history, but nonetheless your culture and people have stood the test of time. And even for this toughness and persistence alone you truly deserve to live peacefully in a free land of your own. Always stay strong, vivid, and true! Hopefully I will be able to visit your beautiful country one day :) Greetings and respect from Niemcy!

German historical region of silesia? why are you duplicating fascist German propaganda? Silesia is one of the oldest parts of Poland which historically belonged to Poland from the beginning of rhe state in the 10th century. Poland lost Silesia in the 15th century to the Habsburgs and the Germans occupied it from the 18th century until 1945. You Germans like to ascribe to yourself lands that did not belong to you historically. Saxony, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg were initially inhabited by the Slavs you murdered, and Berlin was initially a Slavic settlement, so please stop talking about "historical" German Silesia.
@sebastian_hoh2 жыл бұрын
@@tylkoodraoksażpożyciakres Calm down, with historical region I just wanted to point out that it was an area that was heavily affected by ethnic Germans in architecture and history, just like Transylvania in Romania was affected by Germans (they were called “Saxons“ there), which, like in most parts of Poland, were actually invited to settle in these areas by the ruling elites themselves in the Middle Ages, because they were considered hardworking, competent, honest and reliable subjects. That wasnt supposed to be a neo-nationalist motivated territorial claim (most Germans are actually done with nationalism today). By the way, most slavs in Mecklemburg and Brandenburg were not erased from the gene pool, but culturally assimilated. Most Germans west of the Elbe river are down to genetics even today undeniably slavic, which makes sense considering that slavs historically speaking rather tended to adopt foreign elements into their own cultures than creating a brand new cultural identity for themselves... So anyway, I am sorry if I hurt some nationalist pride, today Wroclaw and Silesia are Polish and I have no problem with that.
