Greetings from Turkey. Chuvash people are our relatives. Turkish and other Turkic langs were seperated from Chuvash lang. very long long time ago. But syntax is still the same. some examples of phonetic changes (tur: taş - çuv: tul, tur: ayak > urak > urag - çuv: ura, tur: at - çuv: ut, tur: biz - çuv: ebiz...). traditional patterns are much closer even in Anatolia patterns. nice video. It is an honour to preserve your language and culture.

Is Rumelia your name? Because this is also a non-existent region of Bulgaria.
@theantimatter4 жыл бұрын
@@mihailnikoloff2554 as you may know, rumeli is turkish for "roman realm". rum is for "rome" and el/il means "country-region" in turkish (now used in a slightly different meaning though). it is not a standard name given to people but who knows...

It would be fantastic to have a hungarian chuvash dictionary, and also would be great that to know witch turkic language is the most similar, or closest to chuvash. Is it possible to have connections with hazara language?

Maia A. Huns are ancestors of Turkic people you dumbass
@rumelia6 жыл бұрын
@Maia A. Wow, blatant and cocky ignorance there: Turks appeared in history way before 6th century, but they did not record their activities until around that time, their neighbors did. Chinese records are a forest of mistery still in terms of Turkic history, very little of them has been read/understood. As a result of this making history but not writing it habbit, historians aren't having the easiest time to establish a Hun-Turk relation, but there are other ways to follow, such as linguistics and cultural studies. Do away with your reactionary view of the world and revisionist understanding of history for your own good.
@mihailnikoloff25546 жыл бұрын
@@rumelia Your turkish history starts from the 11th century with the Seljuks. Everyone have ancient history, but the point of this is, when did you first appeared as a unified state under a common king ? No one cares when you wandered the mongolian deserts 2000 years ago.

Not Hazara people, Khazars. Khazars, Bulgars, Magyars and Chuvashs are branches of Ogur Turks. Only living lr Turkish is Chuvash. Coming from the same root you should find many close words within Magyar Language and Chuvash Turkish.

Hi Kate, I hope that your dissertation went well and that you are still able to do research on the Chuvash language and help with keeping it alive. I sent you a message, which I hope you'll have the time to respond to. It concerns ways to learn Chuvash considering my not knowing Russian.
@edebiefendi18363 жыл бұрын
I think Chuvash language is very unique and important. Like Bulgarian and probibly like Hun language Chuvash itself represents whole other branch of Turk language. It's very ancient form. Academicians say that Chuvash is in S/Z group and whole other Turk languages are in Y group. That's why you say Setti and we say Yedi for seven. Chuvash language is the key of the very ancient Turk language. If you see that comment please can you tell me how can i say "bow" in Chuvash. I think it's like Sav, Sağ, Saa, Say.
