I wish I had your courage I am 48 I have been in motorcycle cubs and fear nothing that is alive or takes a breath of air but that type of courage I do not have.But now I am feeling that live has pasted me by and is over and i am just ready for it to all end.My hat is off to you for having so much more courage than I ever had in live.

I love that you are so comfortable with talking about this stuff that a large number of people find embarassing or awkward. I also love that you can just cry...which I have to say almost makes me cry, I hope that you have a wonderful life and know that we love you!!!

My friend is about to come out to her family when her mom gets home... I told her that she shouldn't have to hide who she is anymore. She was scared and i helped her be brave. I am sooo proud of her and i love everyone for who they are. Dont hide who you are. You might be surprised who else can relate to you (:

Very well done, my friend. Thank you for expressing this point of view. As someone who needed a lot of time and a lot of space to come out, I appreciated the patience I was permitted. My Mom knew when I was 18 months old; it took me another 30 years. But, when I did, I kicked the doors off the closet and never looked back. Your tears I understand are the tears of all the what if? that really never came true or never really mattered. If I can do it, anyone can, but you have to let them choose.

by the time i saw your vid it was tuesday 'rocktober' 13 australian time... a couple of days since nat coming out day but i did remind me of a few things... everyone has their own timetable for their journey... my parents journey & timetable of accepting my coming out... about their hopes and dreams for what I would become as their son... me being gay doesnt rob that dream, just means my journey may be different to their hopes and dreams for their son & they needed time to accept that
@bribri6238513 жыл бұрын
Very inspiring! I have been out for years now and it is amazing (even though I live in a small little hick town in Wisconsin, where most people look down on gay people) This video reminded me of my first BF and I wish I would have seen it before our relationship ended. I pushed him to hard to come out and he just was not ready for it. I could have saved a lot of time and heart break if I would have just backed off a little. Happy Coming Out Day (even though I am late lol)

You are so well spoken. Today is a great reason to be happy about who you are, even though we should feel that way every day. I really wish I could do more to support young closeted gays. I make vids, but I wish I could reach more people. I remember what it was like, and I want to make it easier on others. So sweet that you're mom's so accepting :) She is fortunate to have a son like you :)

Religions zealots are one of the most dangerous elements of our society. The violence, pain, and grief that they have caused is unconscionable. But violence from your own family is way beyond reason. ScienceRulesWithFact, you have turned out remarkably level-headed considering your roots. Congratulations!

Tyler the reason we all promote others to come out is because the more people realize that they know a gay person, or they see that they have a brother/sister, son/daughter, aunt/uncle, friend, neighbor, etc that is gay... they will be more likely to help us fight for our freedom from the sort of "Opression" we are dealing with. They would be more sympathetic to our "Cause".
