National Records that I missed: Nugongid Buranasate - Thailand - 400 kg / 881 lbs Aurelien Le Jeune - France - 400 kg / 881 lbs

Kind of puts into perspective how impressive 400kg+ is. You see so many top strongmen pushing over 450kg that one forgets how impressive 400kg is.

Great video. Would also add Aurelien Lejeune from France who just recently reached the 400kg mark.

Imagine having the 7th or 8th heaviest deadlift ever but not being in the list of national records because you happen to come from the same country as Thor.

great compilation. I know tuomas hautala of finland did a 420 kg deadlift too -- if gym lifts count. other cool finnish lifts: - 400 kg for 3 reps by roger karimus (gym lift) - 400 kg for 2 reps by juha räsänen (gym lift) - 405.5 kg by ano turtiainen (equipped comp lift) - 402.5 kg by jouko ahola (gym lift; one source claims he did 406 kg but I find it too unreliable) - 400 kg by jonne illikainen (first finn to lift it raw, in 2016 i believe) - 400 kg by aarre käpylä (gym lift) - 400 kg by juha hiltunen (gym lift at ~110kg bw) - 400 kg by mika hiltunen (equipped comp lift) - 400 kg by riku kiri (gym lift)

Mitchell Hooper talking about the Australian deadlift record: Since I have been a part of the Australian scene, lived here for 4 years, training with Australians in Australian gyms with Australian coaches I don’t see why I shouldn’t qualify. To the contrary, I would be very uncomfortable with reaching out to the Canadian strongman federation asking them to recognize my records because, as it stands, I have given nothing to that community.

Don't forget Russia. I might be mistaken but he is ukrainian, lived in Georgia and now lives in Russia. It's wild west out there when it comes to representing countries. That's one of the reason why we need a governing body.

Didn't want to open the Elephant bar can of worms. Z's was done on an inarguably harder set up so it's not ideal but I decided to go with it.

In this same setup, standard height that is (9 inches from the floor) Zs PR is a self claimed 435 (959) which has no video proof. However this 440 (970) with the deficit and axle bar is Zs PR. It can be taken. Arnold's Elephant bar Raw DL should be taken as well since it's a more difficult lift than the Giants Live Standard bar equipped DL. 474.5 (1,046) - Hafthor 2019 472 (1,041) - Hafthor 2018 467.5 (1,031) - Jerry 2017 465.5 (1,026) - Hafthor 2020 465 (1,025) - Eddie 2016 463 (1,021) - Brian 2019 463 (1,021) - Brian 2016 463 (1,021) - JF 2018 are the 8 Heaviest lifts of the ASC Hummer Tyre Deadlift is 15 inches off the floor. Not 9 inches. Hence should not be taken. It's a different lift, along with the Silver Dollar Deadlift which is 18 inches off the floor.
