What no one is reporting is the destruction of the Spruce Pine Mine in western NC. This mine produces the crucial high purity quartz that is integral to the global production of solar panels and semiconductor chips. Even if they can get the mine up and running, the town has been destroyed along with essential railroad lines that transport the product. Highways and other local roads have also been washed away. This loss will cause severe disruption of the global supply chain for microchips and solar panels. If you need new electronics (cell phones, computers, solar panels) get them NOW. This will affect everyone.

National guard is military, same as coast guard. Mayor's and been making statements the govoner of nc has made a statement the mayor of Ashville has been in touch with the president. You have to understand that for a lot of us there was no communication or news Or direction. No way of even hearing if anyone has done or is doing anything about it

I live in north carolina and have personaly seen the black hawk helicopters the NATIONAL GUARD is using to transport people in and out as they are needed. Of corse nothing happened imidiatly THE HOLE REGION DID NOT HAVE COMMUNICATION FOR 48 HOURS AND LONGER. they where knocking on doors to evacuate people in some areas because of this.

Please, please know this will be needed for weeks, and in some areas months ! From Morganton west is decimated ! Western North Carolina has been changed FOREVER ! The National Guard is so appreciated, but it is Civilian Aircraft, Helicopters and Fixed Wing , and pilots that are doing the majority of the sorties in the mountians, delivering supplies, and evacuating injured, and stranded folks who have lost everything ! There are reports that SBI Agents are saying there are 100s yes Hundreds of bodies starting to be recovered in and around Asheville, and its not being reported, and they want to know why ! There are reports that, Border Patrol Agents, are setting up in Marion along Hwy 70, to Remove Bodies from Cain Creek near Old Fort ! Where is the reporting on that ? Western NC, SC, GA, VA, and Eastern TN have been decimated, and will be changed forever !
