I have noticed when I am out n about in the woods, that our climate near Pittsburgh, is right on time with Scotlands. The same flowers and mushrooms bloom at the same time. I used to watch a girl who went on walks around Scotland, took photos, and came home and painted them. I don't believe her channel is any longer active as she moved across Scotland. But I also photograph and paint flowers, bugs, mushrooms, ect that I find here. And low and behold every time she would be painting the same object as me the following week. I imagine it took her about a week to get the painting done and the video uploaded so that would make it the same time they popped up here. I plan on going to Scotland in 2025 or 2026, and hope to be able to confirm my suspicions. So you are absolutely right.. it is a Small world. Take care.

183!?!?! Fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed hearing your news, and seeing the museum tour as well. You are the perfect advocate for the museum and the finds scheme, they should take you up on the idea. I think Regton needs to play Santa Claus a bit early or late, and gift you a brand new detector.

Wow what a great trip to the museum! U lucky man. And Albert... Well . 😂 Anyway when you showed that little silver button the other day, I was really meaning to get on and tell you (except I was somehow unsubscribed) it's the exact correct size and shape for half a colonial era (in the USA) cuff link. They're always an oval shape rather than circular, and have somewhat of a shank on the back that is more like a glass button than a tomback or dandy style shank. This is where the u shaped link clipped in from either side of the u shape. There would be 3 or so small links between 2 identical pieces where you slip them in the button holes on your shirt cuff. Great find, silver and it broke the dry spell, so can't beat that. I apologize for not answering back on tictoc, I only have it on my Chromebook and my boyfriend's computer blew up. So he has had it and I haven't been able to get on. I did receive notification in email that you responded but I can not answer back that way, and I refuse to load It on my phones that have my banking aps. We've had a lot of issues here in the USA from the Chinese platform, and there's currently a bill to be passed that bans tictoc in the USA. So since I am a part time employee of the u.s. department of commerce I am forbidden to have it on my devices. 😅 Anyway, awesome finds.. can't wait to hear more about that fish! And what did they say, if anything, about that holy Grail.. or the dram that was found on the gallows site? Been wondering about those as well. And to be clear, did they take the items now, or do u take them back in 2 years when they're ready to go in front of the panel? 😅It is quite slow, but I imagine they get loads of artifacts being as the UK has so much history, and mudlarking and detecting are so prevalent there. So, understandable. Sad sad day when you broke your shaft too. Boy that sounds awkward, uh, well.😅 Anywho you know what I mean I hope. Thanks for another great video, and take care. I will get back with you on tictoc as soon as I'm able to get my laptop back. Happy Valentine's as well. And please remind your subscribers that KZbin seems to be unsubscribing people again. It's happened to me 8 times on different channels the past 3 years. Crazy I know. Have a good day. "Sass" Aka Glenna

Thank you thank you for your devotion to keeping us supplied with video! I can’t imagine how much time you must spend filming and editing. It is all terribly fascinating. You are also the king of propriety regarding historic finds and sharing them with archeologists. A grand spokesman for doing the right thing for history. I am hoping that of the 183 items, some compensation might help with the equipment costs you must have. Knowledge is very satisfying, but a few pounds in the pocket must certainly be nice too. Thanks again from Canada!🎉❤ and you are right about the museum- after 3 hours we still had only done the Celtic section and a bit beyond. Days it would take us to get through it all! Next trip, I guess.

Well done John, great that you are reporting the appropriate finds, as should all who detect. Your fish reminds me of other Roman depictions of fish, with it's stylised shape and thick lips. Look forward to finding out what the experts say. It's a pity the Museum hasn't allowed you to film this time, the first time you did this was remarkably watchable, and memorable! Yes, I do understand the decision, but I think they are missing a PR trick there and increasing the distance between academia and the general public. Just my opinion. Ah well, there you are. You're doing a great job on this channel, more power to you.
