National On-call Firefighters Week - Chopwell Community Fire Station

On-call Watch Manager, Tony Bird with Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service talks about the importance of the role of Retained Firefighters as they help to safeguard people in the local community.
In Tyne and Wear, Chopwell Community Fire Station is the region’s sole retained station.
Tony is also joined in the video by his nephew Kallum - who is currently a Retained Firefighter at Chopwell Community Fire Station.
National On-call Firefighter Week is being delivered by the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC).
