What belongs to China, should stay in the hands of China. It is just after the fall of the last Qin Dynasty , that things were stolen and sold off. Mostly westerners stole the art works, and then when the palace was sacked and robbed by hungry people, it made things worst. The palace itself is a master piece of work, and all the handmade art by ancient craftsmen and women. I really appreciate and marvel when I see Western palaces, compared to the Forbidden City's art and magnificent works by the craftsmen who did all the work in it. There is no other place on earth like it.
