Michael Anton is one of my favorite conservative thinkers. Great essayist, too.

I don't know how many of the NatCon 3 speeches I'm going to watch. I watched 4 or 5 so far. This is the one that got caught in my craw. We cannot continue with a two-tiered justice system.(And I haven't seen Mollie's speech yet - that was But the obstacles we face in reforming it / purging seem nearly impossible to overcome. Anton made an offhand comment about the time and will required for extricating a captured institution. And most have fallen.

George III once controlled all of the institutions. That was the last time a great removal occurred in this land. But, old George was a nice guy, a little crazy, to be sure, but generally predisposed to decency. This is not true of Marxists. And, what's worse, to their Marxism they add a heavy dose of race hatred.

"no more counter-intel" on US soil. Really? How will that work out? Is it possible that there is anything that Chinese, Iranian or other foreign agents might do on US soil that Anton is concerned about? Could a US officer just sell our carrier and SSN defense information to the Chinese and Michael would smile?

He leaves the stage saying, "The Deep State has significant influence over who we can elect." I wish he'd spent a significant amount of time on that.
