That was amazing. I've lived in Washington DC since the Nats' expansion season. After getting my hopes up in the past, I didn't expect much from them earlier this season. I'm completely blown away by what they've done over the past few months. Go Nats!

Stellar performance from Strasburg. Credit to the Astros, they made him work, but dang he was on point all night except for one pitch. When he missed, he didn't miss by much. D.C is gonna be rocking this weekend.

Down The Center "is playing" is correct, since Washington is singular (there aren't multiple Washingtons). I honestly can confirm this. The problem with the Dodgers is that they rely on the long ball way too much. Unlike the Nats in the past 2 games, they have been trying to make contact in order to bring in runs on the board. I wish the dodgers could be like that. But under Roberts, nothing will change until he’s gone.

The sign of the times: the Astros dude (you know who), walks with the bat in hand after hitting the home run, winks at the camera after getting to the dugout. How awesome I am! And then.... blows the plays and costs the team the game. Yesterday, another Astros dude admires his hit but it doesn't go out of the park and possibly costs a future tying run because of his lack of hustle. So far, all I have seen with the Nats is that they play great baseball and don't need to showboat uselessly like the Astros. And oh - maybe I'm wrong, but so far in the postseason I have seen that Martinez is a class act and Hinch leaves a lot to be desired as far as humility.

@david sanders Relatively, comparatively, definitely, as I have watched his progress so far, especially given his performance level to date. I was fortunate enough to enjoy watching Ken Griffey, Jr. (the epitome of a modest superstar athlete in any sport) as a season ticket holder in - of all 'buildings' - The Kingdome. We were all happy to hear Dave Niehaus refer to Safeco Field as "... the House that Griffey built" during the transition to a Baseball Stadium, from that ugly multi-purpose concrete hamburger. The very first favorite outfielder in my lifetime, was Roberto Clemente. There is modesty, but definitions have apparently changed over the decades. :D

@@f1ves961 They are. Have you seen how many of them came out of the woodwork in 2017? The Nationals are a relocated team that didn't resort to tanking in order to becoming successful and their fans have remained dedicated and classy. Astros "fans" on the other hand have been nothing short of cocky all season long thumping their chests that they're a lock to win a championship. It's so obnoxious. Amazing how quick Houstonians are to forget how terrible they were earlier this decade. They were 29th in attendance during their first year in the AL (2013) and finished 12th this year. I don't think that's a coincidence.

One of the beautiful things about this Nats team is that they are having so much fun at this, but also it has been such a team effort, not just a few superstars. Suzuki hitting game winning grand slams, Michael A Taylor getting one here, Adam Eaton, Soto, a 20 year old kid having a better season than Bryce Harper, old man Zimmerman coming through in the clutch, Howie Kendrick, Cabrera, Robles.... not even mentioning their formidable starting pitchers. And not even mentioning Rendon, with a close to league MVP season, and Trea Turner. Just an awesome team.

Bregman, Verlander, Altuvi are great players and also others, but their smug and condescending attitude was great to see Bergman fumble and boot a ball and play, to watch a teary eyed Verlander watching the debacle. The Series isn't over, but to view that was great and well worth staying up till after midnight. Moving from the National League to the American League did not last night. Every puppy has his day and every man has his "Waterloo". Congrats Houston fans and good to see how you abandoned your beloved Astros. Enjoy the rest of the Series. David
