The sign of the times: the Astros dude (you know who), walks with the bat in hand after hitting the home run, winks at the camera after getting to the dugout. How awesome I am! And then.... blows the plays and costs the team the game. Yesterday, another Astros dude admires his hit but it doesn't go out of the park and possibly costs a future tying run because of his lack of hustle. So far, all I have seen with the Nats is that they play great baseball and don't need to showboat uselessly like the Astros. And oh - maybe I'm wrong, but so far in the postseason I have seen that Martinez is a class act and Hinch leaves a lot to be desired as far as humility.

It was great too see the perplexed look on AJ "Pinnocchio" Hinch as the Nats gave Astro a good drubbing. Bregman, Verlander, Altuvi are great players and also others, but their smug and condescending attitude was great to see Bergman fumble and boot a ball and play, to watch a teary eyed Verlander watching the debacle. The Series isn't over, but to view that was great and well worth staying up till after midnight. Moving from the National League to the American League did not last night. Every puppy has his day and every man has his "Waterloo". Congrats Houston fans and good to see how you abandoned your beloved Astros. Enjoy the rest of the Series. David

Lots of you are counting the Astros out already. You guys are underestimating them. They are not playing at their full potential but if they start getting hot with their bats, you all will be surprised and start making excuses. I give credit to the Nats for playing an outstanding game 1 and 2. They are playing smart small ball. Again, if Astros get hot... watch out. Mark my words.

I will make one more point. Yes the Nationals were considered underdogs but they've had and still do have one of the highest payrolls, so its not exactly a Cinderella story. Either way, it's good to see a team that's never won the WS get there shot. Next year it'll be back to hearing how great the Dodgers and Yankees are.

I'm an Astros fan, but I've been saying this was gonna be hard going into this thing. It's almost like people forgot the Nats just took out the 106 win Dodgers 2 rounds ago so obviously our 107 wins wasn't going to mean much. I have to be honest, though, if I HAD to choose one team to lose to in the world series, it would be the Nats. They've never been, and plus it is satisfying seeing Harper get his comeuppance. He saved the Nationals so much money

I saw this play out last year with my Red Sox. Top notch two-out hitting, clutch pitching and field play. I called Nats before the series because I saw a mirror copy of the 2018 Sox. It was so obvious even Smoltz mentioned the comparison. 8th inning with the stands empty, reminded me of Red Sox, Yankee Stadium 16-1 rout. Astros, your season is over.

Many of us breathed a sigh of relief after escaping that series, and said you all would probably be the hardest thing we'd face all year. Everyone is in it together in DC/VA, hopefully the magic continues.
