Betty Lafontaine is very high spiritual native American woman! I was honored to meet her and had a great discussion about Mormons and Jesus and the history of native Americans and Phoenicians ! What a great history that should be known

These trips, or at least trips very similar to these, were conducted by Thor Heyerdahl back over 50 years ago. The Ra Expedition in 1970 bears the most direct resemblance.

Do you talk about the Algonquin testimony of Turtle Boats coming down St Lawrence into great lakes area?
@rconger24
@rconger24 4 ай бұрын
Yes yes yes! I've heard the turtle boats legend recounted by Wayne May at the same BoM "Firm Foundation " conferences that Rod Meldrum here organizes and puts on twice each year. They came up the St. Lawrence seaway. This was presented as a parallel with the voyages of The Brother of Jared, as told in The Book of Ether from The BoM. Yes
@riannelson67
@riannelson67 4 ай бұрын
The Algonquian traveled from the land of Canada then south to the St Lawrence River. The turtle boats then took the St Lawrence west out to Lake Michigan and then continued to Wisconsin and North Dakota. The Algonquian did not come from Europe and then to the St Lawrence, the Algonquian are the Lamanites who arrived with Lehi at Florida. From Florida the Nephites traveled to Missouri and at the last battles in NY the remaining Lamanites travel north and settled in Canada before the then took the St Lawrence west at about 600 AD.

About 6:11, Rod states that Philip Beale and the Phoenicia sailed into Scandinavia and the UK. That statement is totally false for the 2009 voyage and the 2019 voyage. Rod must have been thinking Azores and misspoke. The threesome seems to be getting the 1st and 2nd voyages mixed up. Neither voyage was anywhere near the UK or Scandinavia or New Orleans. Lehi landed in the Panhandle of FL area which is the oldest Hopewell site. Beale landed in Miami and Ft Lauderdale, FL in early 2020. Sadly, Beale and the Phoenicia never got the publicity they deserved. In April 1972, Ra ll was featured on the cover of the New Era magazine and an interview with Thor Heyerdahl inside the magazine. Where were the Church News and Church Magazines photographers and reporters in Jan-Feb 2020 When the Phoenicia landed in FL? They missed the boat (pun intended). This voyage is a powerful testimony of how Lehi got to the land of promise.

@@riannelson67 Of course it was a misstatement. I said that. We all do that from time to time. I'm not attacking them. I'm setting the record straight because truth is important. When I misspeak, I call it a Lloydian slip. Why no publicity for the Phoenicia and Beale from the Church News or Church magazines? Because the people who should have reported on this have a Mesomania mindset!

Guys, according to an archeological team investigating the discovery of the tomb of an ancient meso-american king: El Cacique El Quibian near Vulcan Baru in Panama, the facts surrounding the artifacts found in his tomb including the Ark of the Covenant and the record translated from 30 scrolls found in his sarcophagus next to his body that dated to 590 B.C,, it appears Mulek (Malchiah) landed in Panama, not New Orleans. Ref: KZbin video prompt: "Gold Plates discovered in ancient pre-columbian tomb" and you can see the voyage of Malchia in "The tomb of Lehi and Nephi discovered in Mulek's tomb Fort David Museum". Note: they do not present any evidence of Nephi or Lehi bodies being in the tomb.

Apparently, there's evidence Mulek was taken as a young prince to a Scandinavian country by the prophet Jeremiah when King Nebuchadnezer sieged Jerusalem. Perhaps other Jews went with them in a Phonecian ship and the group eventually came to America,?

Why would Jeremiah do any favors for Zedekiah? He preached against the puppet king who threw him into a well. There are, however, records of Jeremiah going to Egypt where his own people eventually killed him. 😢

There is scriptural (Bible) and historical evidence that the Phoenicians knew how to sail to the Americas and that Israel knew as well. Hyram (king of Phoenicia) was a friend of King David and made a gift of ships. Thes ships would sail away (2 years) and come back with, of other things, were peacocks. Peacocks at that time were only in what is now India. This means that they would have to sail around the tip of southern Affrica. Historically when this was possible by the Europeans - within 40 years, they were driven off course coming home and ended up in the Americas on accident. At the time of King David the capitals of Phoenicia were Siden and Tyre. From the Book of Mormon, the river by Zarahemla was named Siden which ties the Mulekites to the Phoenicians. I do not agree with everything but the Mulekite Phoenician connect is obvious - there is much more to this but my comments are already overly long.

The original and Mediterranean race are the Dravidians who were in the West and East. They are the sea people A dark people with straight hair with various shades of brown to dark complexion The Akkadians The Amorites ( amalekites/Hyksos/ imliq) Mixed with the Canaanites who are the Dravidians who are the original Mediterranean and Sumerian people who were in the West and East And Amorites also mixed with a canaanite people same as pure native Americans also like Mexican natives and I am not referring to the nice Mongolian or Turkic people Arami tribe Ad sons of Aws/uz conquered Iraq and Syria mixed with the Akkadians and Amorites making them Aws in Origin. When actual tribe of Ad perished Prophet Hud peace be upon them was with the Arami tribe Thamud who are from him. They lived from North Arabia to greater part of Syria mixing with the Assyrians and it was the Akkadians who are from Prophet Hud pbuh, when Thamud went astray Prophet Saleh peace be upon him was sent to them and when actual tribe of Thamud Perished it was the Amorites who are from Prophet Saleh pbuh they are the original Hebrews whether before Saleh or because of him not sure. When Thamud Perished it was sometime during the Assyrian empire it was the Akkadians who formed the Arameans who are the Chaldeans who are the nabateans who mixed with the Amorites not sure if all got mixed. Summary the Akkadians and Amorites mixed with the Canaanites mixed with the Arami tribes Ad and Thamud making them Aws and Athiri in origin with element of Arphaxad ( Nimrod bin Arphaxad bin Shem dwelling place was al hijr) The deities of the Akkadians and Amorites were polytheistic and derived from the sumerians but they called it by different names

@@paulbrungardt9823 Suppose you explain how a ca. 650BC replica ship sailing from the old world to North America is not supportive evidence of the Book of Mormon, that tells of similar voyages around that time. Supposedly such voyages were impossible? Similarly, many other objections to the Book of Mormon that were supposedly impossible are being disproven. It would take pages to document supportive evidence of the Book of Mormon. There are several youtube channels and many websites dedicated specifically to evidences for the Book of Mormon- you should have no trouble finding them if you are interested.

@@paulbrungardt9823 The Smithsonian released a statement that horses were already in North America before the Spaniards arrived. Recent studies have shown DNA evidence of North-Eastern Native American tribes having Hebrew origins. Archeologists have discovered metal arrowheads in the Great Lakes areas from thousands of years ago, along with many other metal artifacts, proving that Native Americans were skilled in metallurgy, skilled enough to create the gold plates that Joseph Smith described. Do your research. You will find the evidence falling into place.

Unfortunately Rod Meldrum keeps saying that he knows the time of year when the Lehites departed the Saudi Arabian peninsula because they harvested fruit and wild honey in the summer and left in the fall. As usual he is wrong. Oman produced fruit anciently and still does now year round. Honey from wild bees in the Saudi Arabian peninsula is actually not harvested during the summer from the coastal areas because it is too hot. So if one believes that is even an argument, it actually supports the party heading in the opposite direction as Meldrum hopes they went to have his theory work. That argument has been debunked so many times. He just like to say things contrary to science in hope of promoting his money making business.

Rod is correct. During about Oct to Dec the currents near Oman were southwestern . The Flow of water from Jan to March the currents flow Southeastern to India. The Nephites came south around the Horn of Africa and landed in Florida.

@@riannelson67 The summer monsoon winds in the Indian Ocean occur from July to September, and the winter monsoon occurs from November to April. And yes, the current is consistent as these winds drive the current. The Book of Mormon indicates that they were driven before the wind so the winds are the primary controlling factor. My comment does not say that the winds and current are much different than what Rod has said. What is wrong is his assumption that in Oman they were only harvesting fruit in the summer, meaning they left in the fall after gathering fruit. In Oman fruit grows year round, so that parameter doesn't indicate when they left. With regards to wild honey, in the Arabian peninsula, the ancient (and current) wild bee honey production time in the coastal areas is during the winter and collected early in the spring. Wild bees pollinating wild plants cannot produce honey on the coast in the summer as it is too hot. Beekeepers move them to the mountains. Currently with the introduction of the essentially domesticated European honeybee and cultivated irrigated and sprinkled crops they are able to produce some honey on the coast during the summertime. So if one believes their departure was dependent on the wild honey harvest, than it would have been in late winter/early spring which would take them in the opposite direction from the cape of Africa. In addition, the monsoon storms in the Indian Ocean occur during summer, so the Lehites hitting a "great storm" and a "great and terrible tempest" indicates they were traveling in the opposite direction from the cape of Africa. That's why I am so surprised that Rod keeps making this argument. He is aware that it is wrong, and so is Jonathan Neville. It in fact indicates the OPPOSITE of what he is asserting.
