Just bought this the other day and I am in LOVE! Plus I got the bundle that came with session strings pro 2 and session horns. I don’t think I need any new plugins until next year hahaha

Daniel Sinopoli you are most welcome. If you are looking for instruments that are in front of the mix, I highly recommend it. The viola sounds unreal. My fav is the Stradivari violin. Check out my manual read through to understand the inner workings of the engine. Cheers!!!

@@_TheModernCreative thanks for the reply! I am so excited to have solo instruments rather than the sectionals that one is typically stuck with through logic and mainstage. I agree about the viola, I am also interested to unpack the Prince Dorian too as it will likely naturally be picked less to to Stadivarius. You did a great job of showing more of a real world demo of the Instruments that would reflect how many of us will explore them for our first times. Now, with your help, we have clearer expectations and a shortcut to where we are trying to go to get the results we want. Looking forward to more of your content on komplete 13

Daniel Sinopoli much appreciated. Comments like this make it all worth it my friend. More content coming soon.... side note: can you tell me more about prince Dorian? Is that a plug in? Cheers!!!

Hi, maybe I missed it, but what's the main use difference with session strings pro? I know the articulations are way better here, but I'm trying to figure if my strings are always gonna be background , is it worth foregoing Cremona? Trying so hard to tell myself to not spend here, but I'm already hooked.
@_TheModernCreative4 жыл бұрын
Cremona Quarter seems to have been created for top line melodies or counterpoint. This is not to say that you cannot EQ or use the mic positions to create depth but the sound quality and sampling is far superior than I have ever heard. If you write a lot of strong parts and you are missing that “bite” then I would go for it. Try out the demo yourself!!! Let me know what you think when you get your hands on it.

@@_TheModernCreative Thank you! Really appreciate the response. I bought embertone violin vst which is on par with Native instruments Stradivarius violin, so I may hold off a bit unless there is a big sale from Native instruments.

@@jayleon07 need to check out ember tone. Thx for the rec. have a great week dude!!!!

Cremona is intended for string quartets/ solo strings instruments - session strings is for whole string sections. You could sort of think of it as the difference between lead (Cremona) and pads (sspro) in normal synths.

Is it possible to automate the speed?

I need to pick a string plugin, and I love this so much, but I want to be able to layer multiple of the same instrument to make a fuller orchestra sound. Is that possible with this? or is this mostly for on top, and should I get a different plugin? I can't afford more than one... what are your favorite strings plugins?
@jayleon074 жыл бұрын
Whichever way you go, at least BBC spitfire has a basic free version which kinda gets you there. It's worth having underneath whatever you end up using
@_TheModernCreative4 жыл бұрын
Hey there. Great question. I personally think these work best of they sit on top. If you need something more versatile, I would check out LABS Spitfire (free) or Eastwest Composer Cloud (subscription). You get lots of options there. Hope that helps dude. Cheers!!!

@@_TheModernCreative thanks so much! I actually did some research, and I think I'm gonna use Native Instruments Session Strings Pro 2! While I'm still relatively new it'll be nice to keep my instruments from one source on kontakt. Thanks again!

I got Audio Imperia's Nucleus as my first library and it's got everything you need and in great quality. Strings, Brass, Flutes, Choir, Percussion, even solo instruments like Cello, Viola and Flute. They're one of the best libraries to get you started. Although they have limited articulations and no articulations for the solo instruments. But generally it's got all you could ask for. All the non-solo string patches come with 4 articulations which is already more than enough if you're just starting out. That's why I'm now getting the Cremona quartet after having had Nucleus for almost a few months, because I want something great and expressive to layer ontop. But I'd recommend Nucleus to anyone looking to get their first quality and complete orchestral library! Hope this helped!
