Thank you Dave for including and answering my question in the video! Im a drummer and like to experiment with rhythm and the feel in a beat. I think it's nice to include triplets sometimes even if it's a straight 16th-feel beat and I'm glad there is a method of doing that when applying quantization.

Hey, any function button can stay on or off. Hold the events button then top left of your left screen you will see lock. Press the button above that and now it will stay on

Awesome work man!! Just waiting until you get to the Maschine2 Software itself... Strange request considering you are using it, but curious to know the non-linearity approach to Maschine vs DAWs such as Logic. i.e.. The best way to arrange and compose a whole song is what id love to see. The different views alone are confusing for a traditional DAW user. Add to that the idea of Patterns, Scenes etc etc... LOL.. Thanks man!! Keep up your wonderful work!

Hi dave love the videos very helpful ! when i press shift grid it comes up to select grid intervals but the only options it gives are multiples of 2 .. for example 1/2 1/4 1/8 1//16 etc .. and idea how i can change it to triplets as i love the rhythm of them ?

Thanks Fly, really glad you are finding the videos helpful. unfortunately you can only do it at the bottom of the screen using the mouse. Right at the bottom you will see a # and 1/16, click that number and you can use all different types of triplets as well :-)

Hello dave Im trying to make a track but i need my drum to play the whole song trough, so first i made a little group of 2 patterns long but now i changed my patterns length to 8 patterens but because it was 2 patterens long they stop after 2 how can i duplicate them manual so they play till 8?

Hi Thibo the easiest way to do this is is put the pattern back to 2 bars and then duplicate it so it doubles the bars and pattern. On my previous videos I cover the duplicate button. If you need more help then feel free to go to my website and send me a message 😋 www.digitalandvinylexpert.com

I know this sounds like a crazy question, but is there a way to test all the functions of your maschine mk3 to make sure it all works so I don't end up with a brick a year later when I discover a function that don't work and my maschine is out of warranty? If so can you post one if this is possible?

Hi Jason Not that I know of but at the same time I’ve never heard of certain functions not working. It’s more all or nothing works. Is there a particular function you’re worried about?

You use the stop button when you use the MK3 as master to start and stop.. stop does stop the master, but doesn't stop the slave..that's why there is a stop button.

Is it expected that control commands are going to be slightly different from control to control? To erase notes of one pad I have to press shift, erase and then the desired pad. Do I have to adjust something on my preference setting?

I don't understand how you can have arranger view in the display and the pad mode at the same time. I have to switch to Step mode to get that view. Any help appreciated :)

Thanks for the lovely message Monika and glad they are helping. That's odd! What it does is clear the last note you put in and then if you press it again it clears everything. If you get stuck then you can always email me a video to [e-mail] and i'll see if I can help.

I'm also wanting to move the transport back to the beginning and not have it start moving forward again. Why is this not possible? Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this? Like why cant you double tap the stop button or something like that to reset the transport back to the beginning. Common NI, fix this please.

I agree. I’m so used to doing that in ableton. You can however just use the restart button and that will start at the beginning for you.

Hi Dave, I discovered that if you push Stop, and then the Scene button, and select the first scene.. Low and behold, it moves the transport back to the beginning without playing. :-)

Found an easier method - Hold shift and rotate the master volume knob, each rotation moves the transport to the beginning of the bar in either direction (one bar per rotation). Fantastic series of videos Dave, thank you!

Hey. When you say project, do you mean the one you save in your folder? If you do then you have to delete it from there and not inside Maschine.
