There are so many videos out there by people who seem to know what they're talking about, but finally here's one by somebody who knows how to talk about what they know. You're such a clear communicator.

I am new to Maschine. I've been watching dozens of videos trying to get helpful information on how to use the system. YOUR VIDEO IS THE BEST. The people from NI and other channel artists have not been clear about what's going on. They jump all around with no clear workflow pattern (at least not to this newbie), they move too fast (as if they don't want you to learn what they're doing) and they're camera shots and audio are not always in the best positions for one (me) to learn. Your video, on the other hand, is the absolute best instructional video that I've seen. You were concise, deliberate and you took time to explain and show what you were doing. Your words, your hands and your screen shots, etc. were always in sync. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Now if youwcould just make a video on how to use Maschine Jam. Lol.

Between Jeff here, Doug from "Sound Test Room" , AG Got Beats , and a few others , (there are many out there) this stuff is finally starting to make sense, I haven't had time to sit down and figure it out until last months, but FINALLY getting somewhere! Thanks to all of you .....

Jef, thanks so much. I am a former professional trombonist trying to learn new ways to interact with music, and I bought a Maschine MK3 recently in order to play with samples and arranging in a more intuitive way than I was getting from my DAW. I have subscribed to multiple learning sites, ordered courses from Udemy, and watched dozens of KZbin videos in an attempt to learn more quickly. It has been tough, because most of the videos gloss over concepts that are taken for granted, or they blow through the concept so fast that I don't have time to understand it. Your videos are the first that move at a pace and with a clarity of communication that, for me, are the best available that I have encountered. Thank you so much. (I also picked up a Kontrol s61, so I hope you do videos on using that with Maschine Mk3 if you haven't already!) Thanks a ton, Jef. Music enriches lives in a non-trivial way, and these tools allow for a democrtization of music that further enriches lives. Facilitating that should make you feel like what you're doing matters, because it does.

Best Tutorial i have seen in awhile. You literally explain everything perfectly in detail and simple terms for people to understand who are new or want to have a better workflow. Most youtube videos who write tutorial or beginners guide do not show step by step guides. They give broad explanations and just want you to watch them filming themselves making a beat. Awesome man. Definitely get a thumbs up for this one.

My MPC 2000XL had problems with the Mother board, and I had planned to upgrade to the MPC One, but they didn't have any in stock for more than a month, so I decided to try the Maschine MK3. I have to say I'm truly enjoying it, and your tutorials have been very helpful, and especially this one on the groups, patterns, scenes and songs. I really like the MK3 so far. I purchased a Maschine 3 way before Maschine + was released & I was able to write sections, but could never find a video that explained the process of joining different ideas together in a traditional horizontal timeline. I normally work in post production for film, but occasionally get hired to score as well. I have been writing my songs within Ableton Live & Pro Tools with a NI Kontrol II MIDI controller & I knew that Maschine could be a huge writing asset for me & now it is. Thank you! I bough 3 Maschine online courses since I purchased my hardware a month ago, and all of them are very complete but not as straightforward as this! With this one Injust understood the way the workflow actually functions, and Incojld finally start recording without having to go though the whole course… I will surely take that too, but it is important to have these basics first so that you can actually enjoy making music immediately, otherwise it makes a lot of people frustrated and wanting to go back to their previous system (logic in my case) thanks ! I sustained your channel with a little tip 🙏🏻 keep the good work!

You made this so easy. I am afraid I am too lazy to read the manual when I start out and just want to play with my Maschine. You made the perfect video to show me the basics. Excellent stuff thank you!!!
