These vids are absolutely priceless to folks like me who are brand new with Maschine and wanting to learn in an easier way than trudging through the 800+pg manual! I cannot thank you enough for taking the time and effort to make these available to us all! Also, a quick question. Are the top 4 buttons performing actions listed on the left screen at the top? I can't read it (even on my 21" monitor) but I'm taking a guess that is what is happening. Just trying to get those darn "unnamed" buttons figured out! Much thanks!
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert7 жыл бұрын
Hi again. Really appreciate the feedback and glad I’m helping. Apologies that you cannot read the top 4 buttons. Basically if you press a button next to the pads you will be able to read them. The first pad just locks the screen and then the others perform different tasks. Press each button by the side of the Instruments pads and you will be able to see them. I have bought another camera to have over the Maschine so hopefully you will be able to see it better 🤞🏼
@Gegatso7 жыл бұрын
I can read the buttons on MY hardware, just cannot read the screens on the vids. Hoping the new camera makes it clearer, but really your explanations are so good, I only had that one question out of all the videos!

As I understand it, the Choke function will only work if something is already playing. I think it stops all sound immediately (instead of waiting for effects to fade out etc)

Dave, Sorry to Bother you with this. I notice that all your Function Buttons are lit. Mine are all dark unless I select them. I don't know where I can brighten them. Under Hardware under Settings, the Display or the Led's Parms at Max don't brighten the buttons. I also couldn't find where to brighten them under the Controller Editor. Just want to say that I love the video. Will review them all.
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert5 жыл бұрын
Hi James, no bother at all , that's what I'm here for. Do you have the mains plugged in? If it is just being bus powered then the lights will be a lot dimmer. Let me know if that's not the case. Glad you like the video and shout if you need anything else. :-)
@TheBossLenz5 жыл бұрын
No, I also have it plugged in. But when I connected it to the hardware controller software, all the buttons lit up the way you would want them to if you were performing live. When you disconnect by turning the unit off and on, they all go back to the darkened state. There’s a parm for displays that affects the dimming in the Hardware Controller documentation but I can’t find it anywhere on the screens. (Sorry I cant give you the exact parm, I’m at work.) I just got my MK3 last Thursday and it was updated to 1.4 along with the fact that there’s a total dependency on Native Access. I’m not complaining but troubleshooting seems more like a Dark Web activity🤓. So far, I always keep the MK3 plugged in if that’s what you mean by mains connected.
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert5 жыл бұрын
I have an issue where when I load up the software the MK3 doesn’t respond so I have to turn it off and on and again. Lots of little issues around unfortunately. Only thing I can think of is send me a video to dave@digitalandvinylexpert.com if you want showing the issue and I’ll try and replicate it.

How do you set the fixed velocity to a velocity of your choosing?
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert6 жыл бұрын
Great question. There’s a number of different ways. If you are using step mode then just fixed velocity and the knob above it will become your volume. If you are playing live you can select the pad you want and then hold shift and fixed velocity to give you 16 different velocities which you can record playing them so you don’t have to do it post. Then the last one is in pad mode arrow right once and you will see the fixed velocity. Hope that helps.

I just purchased a MK3 and you went over the scene function. One thing I could not understand is how to play the beat from start to finish from scene 1 to however many you create? When I push play the scenes just repeat. Do you have to record the different scenes you've created? Great video!
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert6 жыл бұрын
Hi Irron glad you like the video. Once you make each scene and assign the different parts to it you can then switch to arrange view and play it like a song.

10pts for content and personality. 2pts for presentation - Sorry to be the one to say it if someone else hasn't already, but I can't see shit in the camera footage. I suggest investing in a decent camera, so that viewers can actually see the names of the specific functions and button labels that you're pressing. It was really frustrating. It's a shame because I'd really enjoy your vids if that was resolved. Hope this helps.
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert4 жыл бұрын
